On Friday, Australia's immigration department announced that California rapper Snoop Dogg has been granted a visa to enter Australia for an upcoming concert tour.

The department took into account the fact that Snoop had traveled to Australia three times without incident:

"In making this decision, the department weighed his criminal convictions against his previous behavior while in Australia, recent conduct—including charity work—and any likely risk to the Australian community. We took into account all relevant factors and, on balance, the department decided to grant the visa."

Take that, Oz Snoop protesters!

We hope Snoop totally follows through with his pledged commitment to do charity work with at-risk youth during his visit to the land down under!

The Dogg plans to tour the country with Ice Cube and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony in October.

Behave, boys!

If all goes well in Oz, Snoop, England might change its tune on you too!.

Looks like England's not the only place where Snoop Dogg's having visa problems.

He can probably add Australia to the list of countries who don't want him, according to a new report.

Snoop was refused permission to even apply for a visa to enter Australia in 2007 because of his criminal record, which killed plans for him to co-host the MTV Australia Video Music Awards.

BUT, Oz immigration officials this week cleared the way for an October tour visit….until a bunch of public complaints from Australian victims of crime groups on Tuesday.

A senior immigration official said that 'as a result of public concern and interest' the immigration authority will be taking a 'more thorough assessment' of Snoop's character.

Sucks for Snoop!

He's still 'paying' for his crimes!

Following in the footsteps of successful rappers turned fashion designers, like Diddy and Russell Simmons, there's a new guy entering the fashion biz.

And her name is Snoop!

The Dogg has just launched his own fashion label, Rich & Infamous, which he'll be promoting in everything he does. Such as featuring the new line development on his reality TV show. Does anyone actually watch that show?

Snoop will also be promoting his line and brand on his CD packaging and products.

Oh, and unlike other artists turned designers, Snoop will actually be wearing his clothing, as will his entourage.

And, even crazier, he's going to be putting on his own fashion shows. Snoop will host the fashion shows during his upcoming world concert tour.

The clothing will be a line of streetwear for men aged between 18-35. It'll also feature accessories, grooming and home products.

His collection will be unveiled this week at the Magic fashion tradeshow in Las Vegas.

Robert Thorne is the CEO of the management firm Robert Thorne Co. who's doing business with Snoop and also helped build Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen's billion-dollar business with clothing and several licensed merchandise.

Of Snoop's new venture, Thorne says, "The Rich & Infamous brand is sculpted from Snoop Dogg's trend-savvy classic vision."

Thorne sees big bucks and long-term potential in Snoop. He says, "Big stars usually don't spend a lot of time promoting the brand. This is no longer 'I'm going to make a few extra bucks.' Now it's about 'How am I going to make this about who I am and make this last a decade or two or more?' "

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that

Snoop's tour bus was pulled over by police on Interstate 35, south of Dallas, on Thursday afternoon.

Two people were arrested for marijuana possession.

It is not known at this time if Snoop was one of those.

Update: We're hearing that…

State troopers pulled over the bus an hour south of Dallas for expired stickers.

It's our understanding that Snoop was not arrested but two people in his entourage were.

Police are still finishing paperwork.

Update #2: The two members of Snoop's dog pound were arrested and booked in the Navarro County Jail.

Snoop was not arrested and will be performing in Dallas as scheduled on Thursday evening.

On Wednesday, Snoop Dogg told our friends in Big Boy's Neighborhood on LA's Power 106 that he recently recorded tracks for Dr. Dre's highly anticipated and long-delayed new album, Detox.

Snoop said, "That record is real, it's coming. You know me, I was starting to doubt it myself and then I went up in there and he played so much music for me it knocked my head off. I see what he got them waiting for, it's on and poppin. He got records, he got heat."

Snoop Dogg confirmed the 10 years in the making project was finished and that Dre was selecting tracks for the album.

After all these years it better be good!
