All good things must come to an end, but David Beckham's legend will live on!

At only 38 years-old, David signed a five-month deal to join the Paris St. Germain in January, and straight up donated all his salary to charity. If that didn't tell you the end was coming — and he was just going to go out having fun instead of earning — well we're sorry this is coming as such a shock to you!

Here's what he said:

Richard Swanson had a goal, and that goal was to dribble a soccer ball from Seattle all the way to Brazil, and do it in time for the 2014 World Cup! Easy, right? Just do a little bit at a time?

Maybe that should have been the case, but we're sad to report that Richard has died after being struck by a pickup truck while walking south on the Highway 101 in Oregon. The 10,000 mile trip had basically just begun — just on May 1st.

It's insane to us that in 2013 that anybody still need to be fighting for rights — be it little or small! It's BULLSHIZZ!

Not only are lady gamers constantly fighting sexism, but badass women (or women at all) are severely under-represented in the games themselves. If they ARE there, then they have massive boobs and outfits that don't make any kind of sense!

Luckily, things are changing… but slowly.

Being a ref is dangerous, especially when you have to deal with the scorn of slighted players and their fans — we just didn't think it was THIS dangerous!

A soccer ref from Utah named Ricardo Portillo has died after sustaining injuries from being punched in the face by a player. He had just issued the player a yellow card and was writing it down in his notebook when he was hit right in the face.

Immediately Ricardo sat down, started vomiting blood, and was taken to the hospital. That's where his condition worsened and he eventually passed away from the injury.

Back in February, Robbie Rogers came out as a gay man, and even though he hasn't been playing soccer for some time now, he got back on the field and trained with the El Lay Galaxy on Tuesday!!

OOOOH! Maybe we can get a date with him??? LOLz

The 25-year-old hottie played several years in Europe before he came out, and now that he returned to California, he's trying to get in good with the two-time MLS Cup champions.

Robbie's contract is currently with the Chicago Fire, but after he trained with the Galaxy, head coach Bruce Arena gave Rogers all sorts of support, he said:

Gooooooo dad!

David Beckham's adorbs son Brooklyn was watching his pops play a little soccer and such when someone snapped this pic!

We're glad they did — of course we'd want to see him cheering on his dad! So cute! So loyal!

David should consider himself lucky! It really DOES sound like he has some great kids!

They have a great dad too, of course! Ha!

We adore that Salma Hayek loves soccer!

On Saturday, the Here Comes the Boom actress bundled up to go watch the Stade Rennais vs. AS Saint-Etienne soccer match in Paris, and even though she was shading her face with a huge hat, we could see how into the game she was.

Since it was the French League Cup final, Miz Hayek made sure to put on the happiest face she could, but she didn't have to try so hard — especially because she had her billionaire hubby, Francois-Henri Pinault standing right next to her!!
