Soccer Star Abby Wambach Issues A Heartfelt Statement Following Her DUI Arrest

Everybody makes mistakes, but it sounds like she's ready to move forward.

As you may have read over the weekend, retired Soccer star Abby Wambach was arrested early Sunday morning for a DUI in Portland, Or.

The 35-year-old was booked at about 2 a.m. PST after failing a field sobriety test, and now she's apologizing for her lapse in judgement.

Abby took full responsibility for her mistake in a Facebook post late Sunday afternoon, saying:

Former United States Women's Soccer Team star Abby Wambach was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with allegedly driving under the influence in Portland, Oregon, according to reports.

Five athletes from the Women's World Cup championship team have filed a federal labor complaint against U.S. Soccer on behalf of the entire Women's National Team.

According to reports, Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, Carli Lloyd, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Megan Rapinoe filed paperwork claiming that they are paid less than half as much as the men's team players — yet generate TENS OF MILLIONS more in revenue!

The two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup winner announced on Thursday she will be donating her brain to science upon her eventual death in an effort to better understand the sport!
