Last Saturday, Jackass's Steve-O hosted a fundraiser to benefit The Kindness Collective.
The Kindness Collective is a group that works with domestic violence shelters to help accommodate survivors' pets.
"Up to 40% of domestic violence victims report that they are unable to escape their abusers because they are afraid of what will happen to their pets when they leave.
The Kindness Collective hopes to bring an end to the abuse by permitting victims of domestic violence to seek safety along with their pets."
At the event Steve-O spoke about his transition to living clean, sober and vegan. He said:
"Cruelty is unhealthy; compassion is healthy. And that is a universal rule that stays the same no matter what area you look at. I have benefitted from being vegan in every area of my life… emotionally, mentally, physically."
The founder and president of The Kindness Collective said:
"There's so much more to Steve-O than you see in Jackass and Wildboyz. Steve-O has a huge heart, and he lives a compassionate vegan life that is completely in line with the mission of The Kindness Collective."
Not only has he been clean and sober since March of 2008 he's also living a vegan, cruelty-free lifestyle.
Way to go, Steve-O!

Is this show actually going to air, truTV? We've been burnt before with failed karaoke-themed reality shows…
Jackass star/comedian Steve-O has just signed on to truTV's new reality series Killer Karaoke, based partly on the international TV show Sing If You Can.
In Killer Karaoke
Personally, we wouldn't want to celebrate someone's deplorable behavior as a drug-addicted abuser of women, but apparently, that's exactly what went down at Comedy Central's Roast of Charlie Sheen!
Shatner Vs. Sheen…it's on!
The list of celebrities who will be roasting Charlie Sheen on Sept. 19 has JUST been announced, and we've gotta say - they've got a few good ones.
Here are the people who will be ripping the MaSheen apart during his roast:
William Shatner, Private Practice star Kate Walsh, Jon Lovitz, comedians Patrice O'Neal & Amy Schumer, Slash, and emcee Seth MacFarlane
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Charlie's exes Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards will be attending…but who knows? Maybe they'll make a surprise appearance!
Oh, and for those of you who hadn't heard, previously announced roasters include Jeffrey Ross (of course!), Steve-O, Anthony Jeselnik, and MIKE TYSON!
Wow. There's gonna be a whole lotta crazy going on in that room! Might have to give this one a watch!
What do U think of Charlie's roast lineup?

Steve-O is usually in the press for his crazy stunts but this time around it’s for a good deed. PETA is honouring the prankster for his efforts in promoting animal rights.
In case you didn’t know, Steve-O has been a vegan since 2009 and has also appeared in several campaigns for the organization.
So to congratulate him, Steve-O will be receiving the Peta Activism Award during a special reception in Fort Lauderdale, Florida today.

We are soooo mortified!
We sent our protege, La Coacha, to cover the MTV Movie Awards for us and….
Well, you MUST watch (above) to see what happened!!!!
P.S. Thanks to Selena Gomez, Dave Grohl, Tom Felton, Steve-O and Greyson Chance for being such good sports!
What, did he just forget about an outstanding warrant for his arrest!
Jackass star Steve-O was busted yesterday in Canada, regarding an eight year old assault with a weapon charge in the country that he has since avoided facing!
According to law enforcement officials, the funnyman was stopped by customs when he departed a plane at Calgary Internation Airport, when they noticed the warrant - which was issued back in 2003 when he allegedly attacked an unknown person with an unknown object - and put him behind bars!
He has since gone before a judge, and released on $10,216.60 bail. He'll be due back in court in May!
Geesh! Well, we guess it's better late than never!
We just wonder what the hell he actually did to this stranger back in '03! Guess we'll find out in a few months!
