WWE Hall Of Famer Sting Reportedly Forced To Retire Due To Severe Neck Injury

We're sad to see him go, but we're just glad he's going to be OK!

Sting is one of the most iconic wrestlers in the history of the WWE, but unfortunately his reign over the sport has reportedly come to an end.

Fans of the 56-year-old will remember the neck injury he received during September's WWE Night of Champions match against Seth Rollins, and, as of Thursday, doctors are now saying they do not expect him to recover well enough to continue fighting it out.

While Sting himself has not officially retired from the game, sources close to his team are saying he will make the announcement when he is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this April.

The 25-time champ may not be able to play due to his cervical spinal stenosis, but at least he wasn't more badly injured.

Maybe he could find a career in movies like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? Though we're not sure he could play a CIA agent with that face makeup…

We'll miss ya, Sting!

Listen To This: Hurts So Good

| Filed under: Listen To ThisStingIvy Levan

This is such a sweet treat!!!

Perezcious fave Ivy Levan has unexpectedly and quite brilliantly collaborated with the legend that is Sting on a just-released song from her forthcoming debut album.

Sonically it's a departure from the stuff she's been releasing until now, but it's a welcome and organic extension of what she's already been doing.

Killing You definitely has a Police influence! That killer Sting bass drives the song!

This is soulful rock!!!

Check it out above!

The Last Ship is ready to stage its last show.

That's right, Sting's musical The Last Ship is setting sail and heading away from Broadway.

Ticket sales were dipping, so Sting himself actually joined the cast, as we previously mentioned.

But even adding Sting to the musical he wrote wasn't enough to drive people to the theaters.

Sting Is Joining The Cast Of His Own Broadway Play The Last Ship! Last Ditch Effort To Try And Boost Sales??

The Last Ship is a Broadway musical by 16-time Grammy winner Sting!!

What could've been an incredible show by an amazing artist turned out to be pretty underwhelming — we even reviewed the entire thing HERE if you'd like our in-depth analysis.

The play is pretty bleak and it takes a stab at being something great, but it just sadly falls short.

So we're not surprised by this move: Sting is joining the cast!!
