Well this is Unfortunate…
But that's a good thing, because it officially means production has begun on Netflix's upcoming A Series of Unfortunate Events!!!
Barney Stinson himself was channeling his inner Jim Carrey when he was spotted on set in full Count Olaf hair and makeup, and he may be even creepier than his on-film predecessor:
Our hearts just grew three sizes!
On Wednesday during Illumination Entertainment's CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas, the studio showed off some footage from their upcoming movies and made a pretty big announcement — Benedict Cumberbatch will be the new Grinch!
That's right, the studio is making an animated version of the classic Dr. Seuss children's book How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the Sherlock actor will be voicing the iconic green meanie!
The film, which will simply be titled The Grinch, will be produced by the same studio that made Despicable Me and Minions and is set to be released November 10, 2017.
Of course the last person to play the curmudgeonly character was Jim Carrey in the 2000 Ron Howard-directed live action version. Not only was the film a success, scoring $345 million worldwide, but it also won an Oscar for Best Makeup.
What do you think about Benedict voicing the Grinch?!
This is not a joke!
OK, it kind of is, but they're doing it anyway…
Warner Bros. confirmed at CinemaCon on Tuesday they plan to once again reboot Scooby Doo as a feature film in 2018. But all the new information is cuh-razy!
First, the movie will be called S.C.O.O.B. We'll let that sink in…
Next, this is apparently part of a plan to create a cinematic universe, in which the Mystery Machine gang will cross over with other Hanna-Barbera properties like The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, The Jetsons, The Smurfs, Jonny Quest, and Wacky Races.
Like Universal with their monsters, we guess every studio is just using whatever they can to try to match Marvel's success.
As ridiculous as this sounds, remember that WAG — Warner Animation Group — has only created one finished film so far, and that's The LEGO Movie. If everything is up to that standard, it's all good!
Right? What do YOU think??

Tuesday is an incredibly special day for the famous author Beverly Cleary as she turns 100!
The witty writer was first published in 1955 and is probably best known for creating characters like Ramona Quimby and Ralph S. Mouse, as well as award-winning works like Dear Mr. Henshaw and Socks.
Cleary may be a century old now, but she's still celebrating at her retirement home with some carrot cake with friends while they watch Discovering Beverly Cleary: An Oregon Art Beat, a new doc that explores her Oregon roots.
While the birthday girl doesn't write anymore, she did admit "it's important for writers to know when to quit," as she reflected on her writing and how she hated typing saying:
"I even got rid of my typewriter. It was a nice one but I hate to type. When I started writing I found that I was thinking more about my typing than what I was going to say, so I wrote it long hand."
As for aging, she says she has "a few aches and pains" and jokes she didn't turn 100 "on purpose." LOLz!
With so many AH-Mazing books though, it's hard to pick which one we like best. Vote and let us know which Cleary book is your favorite (below)!
Not every giant is a nasty, human-eating monster.
But in the latest trailer for Disney's The BFG, most of the fabled creatures stay true to the terrifying stereotype!
Steven Spielberg's take on the Roald Dahl tale promises tons of wonder, danger, and friendship — and there looks to be no shortage of incredibly stunning visuals!
In the latest trailer, 10-year-old Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) is lying awake in her London bedroom when a ginormous hand scoops her up and takes the girl out the window. The hand belongs to the BFG (Mark Rylance) — a 24-foot giant who takes Sophie away to Giant Country!
The new friends bond over their loneliness, until they are threatened by some not-so-friendly giants named Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) — who are twice as big and like to snack on people!
Ch-ch-check out the larger than life trailer (below) and go see The BFG in theaters July 1!
This sounds like living the dream to us!
The 19-year-old is currently starring in Disney Channel's K.C. Undercover, but now that she's about to make her way to blockbusters with Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man reboot, is she questioning her living choices??
Not at all!
In fact, the Shake it Up singer stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday to dish on all the perks that come with staying home… like, no alarm clocks, no driving, and all the free food you could want!
Sounds like she's living the dream to us.
We've found Zayn Malik's replacement!
Just ask Elmo and Phoebe from Sesame Street – they still can't get History out of their heads!
The Muppets stopped by Greg James' show on BBC Radio 1 on Monday to promote their new series on HBO, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to treat the host to their rendition of the Made in the A.M. single.
And while Elmo and Phoebe may be cute, Greg is downright smokin' once he starts showing off his own vocals! LOLz!
Ch-ch-check out Elmo, Phoebe, and Greg's version of History by One Direction (below)!!!
