Cause the three BEST members of UK pop group Sugababes have reformed under the sleek, simple name Mutya Keisha Siobhan, and to get us AMPED for their forthcoming album, high profile producer Dev Hynes dropped this smoother than silk Kendrick Lamar/MKS poppy R&B concoction called Lay Down In Swimming Pools (above)!
He accompanied the track with a tweet, writing:
Our brainz are imploding from an excess of sugary bliss…
Cause we've gotten a total sucrose rush after watching the original members of British girly group Sugababes perform an incredible, acoustic rendition of BRAND NEW single Boys (above)!!!
Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy reunited in early 2012 under the simple name Mutya Keisha Siobhan, and have been hard at work all year recording an album which is set to be released SOON!
Boys is the first single off of the album, and judging from the live recording, the studio version is going to be a KILLER pop song!
SO souped for the return of these iconic three!
Get ready, people!
A whole NEW generation of The Spice Girls may SOON be on its way…just not entirely how they're known and loved today!
You may have noticed Victoria Beckham's tardiness to the premiere of the girl groups' new musical, Viva Forever!, and according to insiders, it's because she's the only member NOT innerested in reuniting for a brand new album and tour!
However, this time around, it's not stopping Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Mel B, and Geri Halliwell from forging ahead without here, and according to new reports, they are on the hunt for an all-new FIFTH member!
But that's not all! They may be
This is absolutely incredible news!
Although The Sugababes have been around since 1998, none of the founding members are still in the line-up, but it appears that the originals - Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy - have reunited, and are back in the studio, recording new material with Professor Green!
Keisha took to Twitter to share the news:
Not so fast!
After Mutya Buena announced on-line yesterday that she had won the rights to the name of the band she helped form, Sugababes, a spokesperson for the current line-up of the girl group came forward to clarify the ruling, and claims that the ruling may not be as cut and dry as it sound!
According to the statement:
Oh crap! We'll be VERY curious to see how this all plays out!
There's been some serious legal drama surrounding the Sugababes as of late, mainly concerning the group's original members fighting in the courtroom for the rights to the name Sugababes itself, and today, founding member Mutya Buena won it back, as well as full ownership, according to the official EU trademark website!
She took to her Facebook to share the news:
Thankfully, this is much more inneresting - and SEKSI - than the actual track!
Check out the just-released music video for the latest single from the Sugababes, called Freedom, off of their upcoming eighth studio album (above)!
We still think that it's an absolute TRAVESTY that Keisha was sacked, but we'll remain cautiously optimistic that this won't be the death of the group without her!
What do U think?? Are U still looking forward to new Sugababes??
