The Minnesota Zoo should be poppin' bubbly to celebrate the birth of their Malayan Tapir calf!
The little baby is the first cutie tapir born there in 20 years!!
The newborn female was born at 9:15pm on July 20th after a crazy 419-day gestation.
That means her mama was preggers for over a year!! Must be extra nice to have her baby after waiting so long.
Bertie, the mama, and her new baby are both off exhibit together, bonding as a family.
The Malayan Tapir is actually one of the most endangered animals in all of Southeast Asia! That's saying a lot!
So it's extra ahmayzing this adorbz little baby was born into this wonderful world we all live in. Congrats!!

On April 2nd at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida a beautiful female Tapir was born!
A Baird’s Tapir to be exact! And it is a cutie!
The Baird’s Tapir are an endangered species, so to have another one enter our world is truly a blessing!
It's just a bonus for us that they happen to be so adorable!

Recently, the Howletts Wild Animal Park in Englad welcomed a brand new member to its family!
A male baby Brazilian Tapi!!
And it is a keeper!
Not only because it's adorable, which he totally is, but because he's a sassy little thang!
The folks at the Wroclaw Zoo have a cosmetologist on their hands and they don't even know it!
A baby tapir is enjoying the
smothering love from her mama as Sabrina makes sure her babe is clean and safe.
This is Sabrina's ninth baybay, but she is a bit overprotective. Melba is patient though, and lets her mom get her licks.
Sometimes you just can't turn down a free bath from Mom!
There have only been two baby tapirs born at the Prague Zoo and the latest one is TOO PRESCHUZZ!
The babe's mama, Ivana, was only in labor for 30 minutes (Wow!) and this cutie is sticking close to its mama.
Like many animals, the Malaysian tapir is endangered so this birth is AHMAZing for multiple reasons!
We know this little cutie and her mama are EXTRA thankful to the Denver Zoo!
Rinny, the mama tapir, had just given birth to her baby boy…but the happy moment turned desperate afterwards.
The babe was trapped in Rinny's amniotic sac, and she tried and tried to free her son to no avail.
That's when curator Rebecca McCloskey and veterinarian Gwen Jankowski literally LEAPED into the tapir area and began tearing away the sac.
A brand new baby Tapir was just born at Zoo Tel Aviv in Israel!
He's the first male calf ever born at the zoo!!
He is only 11 pounds and has the most beautiful coloring.
