Just when you thought he was Half Past Dead… Ja Rule made his unexpected Fast & Furious return to the world of the free!!!
The 37-year-old rapper was released from Ray Brook Federal Prison today after successfully serving out his sentences for tax evasion and illegally possessing a gun, even though he originally wasn't even supposed to go free until July!
Sources close to the situation say the man also known as Jeffrey Atkins isn't completely off the hook just yet!

Apparently, Lauryn Hill and taxes do not mix. But unfortunately for her, that’s not really an option.
The former Fugees singer, who has been looking at three years in prison due to tax evasion, could in fact avoid her time inside thanks to a $1 million Sony record deal.
Lauryn owes close to $504,000 in federal taxes on her $1.8 million income earned between 2005 and 2007. But things were looking up at her Monday proceeding in Newark, New Jersey.
Assistant US Attorney Sandra Moser said that Lauryn’s five song Sony deal could be the solution. Judge Madeline Cox decided to postpone the singer’s sentencing until May 6th, giving her the added time to pay off her taxes. The Judge said:

We’re pretty sure Teresa Giudice did the same at first…
…but the bad history of the Real Housewives’ money matters isn’t stopping Jacqueline Laurita from claiming she’s financially sound!
After rumors came out she was failing to pay her taxes and facing foreclosure on her home, she stepped up to shut those down.
Classic Housewives move!
Without denying sort of owing taxes, Jacqueline has explained why things have gone unpaid:

Phew! That was close!
Famed R&B artist Lauryn Hill was almost sent upstate to the pokey today after pleading guilty to evading the tax man from 2005 to 2007!!!
In fact, she was sentenced to prison, but her magician of a lawyer bought her two extra weeks to try and raise the $968K she owes her favorite Uncle Sam!
Her sentencing is set for May 6 and apparently Mrz. Hill will try everything from taking out loans to inking

Did you remember to file your taxes? We hope so, because if not you might be in some SERIOUS trouble!
Just ask Lauryn Hill! The R&B songstress has a long history of financial troubles, and could be facing jail time after failing to file her tax returns from 2005 to 2007!
But the former Fugees singer is begging Uncle Sam to go easy on her and says a series of threats to her and her family forced her to live off the grid and stop paying her taxes altogether.
A legal document filed by Lauryn and her team explains:

Congratulations are in order…
Cause iconic actor Wesley Snipes has been RELEASED from jail!!
Snipes was admitted into the McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania back in 2010 because of tax issues, and was officially released (to home confinement) on April 2nd.
Wesley will be 100% free when his house arrest ends July 19.
And then he can return to where he is DESPERATELY needed … the movies!
YEAH get ON that Expendables 3 sh*t! LOLz!!

So much for a happy Easter!
After having a long, drawn out legal battle with Italy's Tax Commission, Dolce & Gabbana have been fined $440.2 million, plus interest, for evading taxes.
The latest ruling upholds the November 2011 sentence and denies the duo’s appeal of the case.
However, Domenico and Stefano can still avoid the fine if they decide to appeal, and since they've constantly denied the accusations, it's only a matter of time before they file paperwork.
But even if they do pony up the $440 million, their worries are far from over because Italy’s Internal Revenue Agency still has a claim against the designers that’s being dealt with in a Milan court.
In other words…to be continued forever and ever and ever.
