You probably already know Emma González.

She's one of the survivors of last month's shooting in Parkland, Florida. One of the teens who have bravely walked onto the national stage refusing to let the gun debate die as it always does.

Using her knack for leadership honed as the President of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School's Gay-Straight Alliance, she has helped turn the fed up masses into a real movement.

A name you probably don't know is Leslie Gibson, an NRA member and GOP candidate running unopposed for Maine's 57th District, who decided to insult her on Twitter, writing:

"There is nothing about this skin head lesbian that impresses me and there is nothing that she has to say unless you're a frothing at the mouth moonbat."

He also said she wasn't a shooting survivor because she was in a "different part of the school" and called her friend and fellow activist David Hogg a "bald faced liar."

The tweets have since been deleted, but of course it's the Internet where nothing is ever really gone. See the receipts (below)!

Students returned to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday for the first time since the February 14 shooting.

But Samantha Fuentes was not one of them.

The senior was shot in the thigh and hit in the face and legs by shrapnel from fellow students as they were shot; she injured her face when she hit the ground.

Now she says she will not be going back to the school because for her "there's no such thing as normal anymore." Instead she'll finish out her credits with online courses.

But it isn't fear that's keeping her away — it's a new purpose. She told CNN:

The latest school shooting was a little bit different — and not a good look for Donald Trump and the NRA's plan to put more guns in schools.

Because this time the troubled individual was a teacher.

A 53-year-old social studies teacher from Georgia's Dalton High School is in custody after barricading his classroom and firing a shot through the window when the principal tried to get in on Wednesday.

Thankfully no one was hurt as the teacher was talked down after a little over half an hour.

But now the students are following the lead of those at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and taking on the NRA head-on — starting by calling for an end to this insane idea of arming teachers:

The most controversial TV show of the year is… going to skip the controversy this time.

Heathers, an update of the '80s cult comedy in which high school students murder their classmates and make it look like suicide, was supposed to premiere March 7.

But the Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV) announced on Wednesday they are delaying the adaptation "until later this year" in an effort to stay sensitive in the wake of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

The original satire film involved school shootings and even an attempt to blow up an entire student body. Based on the trailers, the new show likely had similar scenes.

Paramount, who also canceled the planned premiere screening in New York City, wrote in an official statement:
