Things remain pretty good over on Wisteria Lane, so sources suggest that an eighth season of Desperate Housewives could be in the works.

Thing is, the ladies contracts are all up this year, so in order to make another season happen, some renegotiations with Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria have to go down.

The good news is that the ladies all still very much get along and reportedly are eager to return to the show for another year. Though ABC has made no official announcement, we're hearing the women have already started laying down the ground work for their new contracts.

Just to give you an idea though on how much the stand to gain, the four of them already make roughly $400,000 each per episode. Obviously, there is a lot at stake.

But is there enough story to go on for another season? What do U think?

This weekend, reports came out indicating that Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman might be leaving Desperate Housewives.

According to Teri Hatcher, the rumors are NOT true.

Hatcher has taken to Facebook to comment on the rumors. Here's what she had to say about them:

There are not enough adjectives to describe how stupid, off base, and ridiculously untrue this is. "Newspapers" should be accountable for this kind of irresponsible journalism and reckless fabrication of a story. What disturbs me the most is that one fan would consider for one second that I would "quit" what has been one of the highlights of my career for which I am grateful on a daily basis.

More from Hatcher:

I have never said nor inferred otherwise. They made no effort to contact me or my representatives or the network to fact check. I am awaiting a retraction and apology at the least for mucking up everyone's Sunday with this huge, hurtful lie. I will say it again, I love DH, the cast and crew are like family and I am with it till its cancelled.

Vanessa Williams and the writers have brought a new energy to the show this year and I expect and hope it can continue on for a long time. I meet many people who still find so much joy in watching it and I want everyone to know I'm joyful to be involved to this day and that's not going to change.

We're glad to hear that's all cleared up!

Let's just hope Felicity Huffman and the rest of the cast are also still on board.

We can't believe that they'd want to walk away from such a successful show!

Sources close to the production of Desperate Housewives are reporting that lead actresses Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman are both making arrangements to exit the series after next season!

Insiders explain:

‘Teri has given in her notice and is making active preparations to move on. She has another production deal in the pipeline and she is in the early stages of developing a sitcom that she wants to start work on immediately after she finishes Desperate Housewives – she wants a new show in time for the mid-January pilot season. Desperate Housewives can’t really continue without Teri or Felicity because they need the original stars to pull in the ratings. She says she had an amazing run on the show but feels it is time to move on to a project that she has more control over.’

Meanwhile, an ABC spokesperson responded to reports with the statement:

‘We are working on the next season at the moment and we haven’t got anything to say about the one after.’

Uh-oh! That doesn't sound too good!

We hope it's not true! The show would be an absolute disaster without them - they might as well just end the show!

It's had a pretty good run, though, so I guess we can't complain!

Teri Hatcher, who played Lois Lane on the 90s TV show, Lois & Clark, now plays the deceased mother of Smallville's Lois, played by Erica Durance.

Sucks that this battle continues to rage on.

Teri Hatcher has been divorced from Jon Tenney for awhile now, but there are still a few kinks to work out - like who gets their daughter on what holidays.

There doesn't seem to be a very firm custody plan in place as Teri is back in court today to hash out the arrangements for Thanksgiving and Christmas. A judge will decided which holiday the teenager will spend with which parental unit.

Poor Emerson! Must be rough having to be shuttled around like this on special days.

Although she inhabited Lois Lane herself in the 90s, Teri Hatcher is guest-starring on Smallville as the iconic character's mother.

In episode 8, titled Abandoned, Lois Lane (played by Erica Durance) stumbles upon old videotapes of her mother, which leads to some inneresting information.

Oh, Teri Hatcher. We don’t care if your forehead is naturally wrinkly or if the muscles in your face are completely paralyzed due to endless Botox injections…you’re still adorable!

After sharing Botox-free photos via twitter, Hatcher said in an interview that she may do Botox again:

"It's not about Botox to me…I don't have any judgement about doing Botox…I've done Botox, I may do it again — I don't know. It's not the point."

Hatch went on to say that she’s trying to change ideals of beauty in women:

"I wanted women in America, not in Hollywood, to know is that so much of the manipulation of going from the real Teri Hatcher to the Teri Hatcher that's on an advertising poster or an endorsement — that a lot of that happens through lighting…There has to be a different sort of baseline of how we're accepting beauty.”

That’s great, Teri.

How about this: Instead of being a bit of a hypocrite, send a real message to women and swear off Botox. Your natural beauty is enough without ending each evening with a nice big shot of chemicals to the forehead!
