Remember when Kate Plus 8 was canceled and we were all feeling -- at least a little bit -- sorry for Kate Gosselin?

Kate was going around pulling on our heartstrings by saying things like:

“The scary reality is, 12-hour nursing shifts every day wouldn't let me continue to provide well for eight kids, essentially on my own. When you think about it that way, it gets really scary."

And,

"I'm freaking out. Big time. I told them [her kids] I will work my fingers to the bone to make sure that they can stay here and go to their school. There are no guarantees in life for anyone, but they know that I'm giving it my best shot."

Well, her show taped it's final episode over the summer, and but she Kate hasn't cute back on the spending when it comes to her "protection."

When Kate headed out to dinner in Chicago on November 14, her longtime boyfriend bodyguard Steve Neild, was by her side, and when she traveled down under this week to attend Steve Irwin Day the married man was once again acting as her companion.

Hmm... this is a little weird to us Kate. Do you really need a body guard? Honestly, there are MUCH bigger stars than you that travel guardless and somehow survive.

Either they're having an affair, or she's spending money she could use on her 8 children on unnecessary protection.

Oh, this is just sad!

After 7 YEARS of filming Kate Plus 8 is coming to and end and no one is happy about it.

Kate Gosselin and her 8 kids are walking around like there is a tiny grey cloud over all of their heads!

We understand why, they're old enough to realize a channeled show not good news for the family's fame and financial security — or at least they realize they're gonna have less toys and baby sitters holding boom mics.

It's almost like Kate told her children that if they acted upset enough TLC will give them their show back.

But in the end Kate promises this last show will wrap things up for her kids and the views.

Kate Plus 8 series finale airs Monday, September 12 at 9/8c!!

Her husband is gone. Her children are growing up fast. And now, Kate Gosselin's reality show empire is coming to a close. Tonight marks the season finale of Kate Plus Eight, a show that has endured numerous legal battles and a messy divorce.

Back then though, the show got killer ratings. Now, not so much.

So, what's going through Kate's head right now? What does the future have in-store for the single mother of eight? Will she go back to being a nurse? Will she and the kids get another show?

All these questions and more were posed to her during her interview at The Today Show this morning. Kate didn't hold back as Matt Lauer pressed her to talk about the future, the show and her children.

So, do the kids have to walk everywhere now or…

Kate Gosselin was spotted out and about her Pennsylvania neighborhood this week running errands in a pretty fast ride - a Audi TT sports car, to be exact.

This baby's got everything: speed, style, sophistication, but only enough room for 1/8 of her brood!

So what's with the wheels? Can she justify such a car when she's got kids at home to feed and no more reality show to bank roll the food bills? Considering this quote she gave People Magazine, we're thinking no:

Jon Gosselin is actually saying something wise these days.

We guess his Christian Audigier crisis is over…

After his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, expressed her concern for her family's future after her reality shows' cancellation, Jon basically said suck it up.

In an interview, Jon blatantly says:

On an upcoming episode of Kate Plus 8, Kate Gosselin goes ballistic over a slice of pizza and some leftovers.

Apparently, Kate doesn't like it when her daughter Maddy uses her grubby hands to touch a slice of pizza that was meant for Kate's bodyguard, Steve.

Huh?

We're not even exactly sure what's happening here or why Kate is getting that upset, but it's kind of funny to watch her pal Ashley talk back to her.

We knew as soon as this story broke he would come weaseling out of his hole and make an encore appearance before fading into a distant memory.

Alright, Jon Gosselin. This is it - your last moment to be relevant. What do you have to say for yourself?

Jon admits that he is "very relieved" that his ex-wife's show, Kate Plus 8, was canceled yesterday, claiming he's glad his children will be kept away from the spotlight. He explained:
