The Canadian crooner is also switching up his sound! Following last week's release of his single Starboy, the hitmaker just dropped ANOTHER song off his upcoming album by the same name!
On Thursday, the singer released False Alarm, and it's totally different from the brooding ballads we're used to!
The new track features driving drums, a sick synth sound, and some subtle vocals… that is until the acclaimed artist leads into the chorus with a rock-and-roll style scream!
Ch-ch-check it out (below)!
The Weeknd's new music video opens with a murder… and it's his own! What's even more morbid is his killer is actually revealed to be none other than the singer himself!

The Grammy winning artist dropped the self-titled track titled Starboy off his upcoming album late Wednesday, and it's definitely worth a listen. Sure, it's no I Can't Feel My Face, but we think the catchy tune will definitely grow on us! Not to mention it features Daft Punk!
Interestingly enough, the 26-year-old coincidentally references Brad Pitt's epic year in 1994 in which he starred in The Legends of The Fall and Interview with the Vampire, AND was nominated for a Golden Globe!
The shoutout comes when the R&B artist sings:
Say so long to The Weeknd's luscious locks… and hello to his new album!
On Wednesday, the soulful singer took to social media to reveal the title and artwork (above) for his upcoming record, as well as a shorter hairstyle!
The Nabil-shot photo for the album, titled Starboy, features the Canadian crooner — and his new 'do — sitting in front of a pink background with his hands on his head and a cross around his neck.
This exciting unveiling was so important to the 26-year-old that he completely wiped ALL posts from his Instagram account a couple days ago in preparation!
In fact, his last post before the IG cleanse cryptically read:
"This my last post before the new era. Happy birthday to the legend @lamarctaylor, wouldn't be here without the vision. Let's shut Toronto down tonight. XO."
…and, this "era" isn't just referring to his hair.
Earlier this month, the hitmaker told VMAN all about his new muses for the project, and promised Starboy would be his best release yet, saying:
They must be over the moon(man)! LOLz!
But no one had more fun at the award show than the winners themselves!
