Prepare yourselves, because Mr. Squarepants is coming to Broadway!
The SpongeBob Musical is in the works, and it'll open in June 2016 in Chicago before moving on to the Great White Way for the 2016-2017 season.
Directed by Tina Landau, The SpongeBob Musical will feature original songs by Aerosmith frontmen Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, and include other original songs from The Flaming Lips, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, They Might Be Giants, and T.I.
What the what?! T.I.??
Landau said of the musical:
T.I. has been a naughty boy!
According to legal docs, T.I. and his wife, Tiny, owe a whopping $4.5 million dollars in unpaid taxes. The lapses occurred between 2012-2013 just six years after the rapper bought a mansion in 2006 for $4.26 million dollars.
Yikes! Where did all of that Blurred Lines money go?! Not to mention T.I. is one of the top ten highest paid rappers of 2015 in addition to being worth $215 million.
If the father of two doesn't pay up, everything he owns could be up for grabs. Ouch!
As of now, the Whatever You Like singer has not responded to the allegations.

On Saturday, the Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber collaboration Why You Mad? (also featuring T.I. & French Montana) hit the internet to much fanfare. The track features Carey's legendary vocals and Justin's pipes ain't too bad either. The two are a good combo!
Listen to the song (below)! and tell us what you think about it in the comments!
Rihanna stole the show at the March Madness Music Festival in Indianapolis on Saturday night, and took a moment to talk about something very important.
In case you didn't know, Indiana recently passed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act allowing employees to discriminate against people in the LGBT community, and others, on religious grounds. So, before performing T.I.'s Live Your Life, RiRi gave the people a piece of her mind and they were in agreement!
The singer asked the crowd about the "new bullsh*t laws," and they all responded as any decent human would, by saying, "F*ck that sh*t." (below)
That wasn't the only HIGHlight of her performance though. Rihanna also debuted the entire version of her new song American Oxygen, which we've only heard snippets of during the tournament. And despite some obvious technical issues, she sounded like perfection!
Ch-ch-check out the queen slay the stage in so many ways (below)!
But that doesn't mean T.I. won't have to show up to court to defend himself!
The rapper was recently named in a new lawsuit from Marvin Gaye's family who want the ruling judge to "correct" their decision to include not just Pharrell and Thicke in their Blurred Lines lawsuit but T.I. and all of the music labels involved, as well!
But T.I. recently shared his feelings on being named in this copyright infringement case and it sounds like he's pretty secure in the knowledge that he didn't steal anything and thus does NOT owe anybody anything!
Here's what T.I. said
But this legal battle is far from over — and it looks like it's just getting dirtier!
Apparently the Gaye family are now trying to retroactively add on to their big win, claiming that rapper T.I. and Interscope Records should pay up too!
It's a move that Thicke's lawyers are — in no uncertain terms — slamming the fudge out of!
In an official statement, they called the move
What a terrible way to end a terrible year.
Robin Thicke hasn't had the best luck during these past 12 months, and it looks like the start to his 38th go around the sun isn't starting off much better.
That is a pretty crappy birthday present.
Following the verdict, Pharrell's team released a statement, saying:
