Does Tina Turner Have A Drinking Problem?

Filed under: Sad Sad > Tina Turner > Rehab

tina-turner-drinking-heavily

Oh no! We really hope this isn't true!

She's been through enough!

The National Enquirer is reporting that Tina Turner has become so overwhelmed with the tragic loss of her sister and her former stepson Ike Jr.'s grave illness that she's started to drink heavily enough for friends to be concerned that she needs rehab!

Her biographer, Mark Bego, reveals:

"Losing Alline and seeing Ike Jr. so sick has hit her like a one-two punch. Tina has been in misery ever since her sister's death. And now Ike Jr. has taken a turn for the worse. Her friends fear she is drinking heavily in private to get over the pain. Those closest to her are beginning to believe that going into rehab may be her only salvation."

So tragic!

Here's hoping that if this, again, is in fact the case, that her friends and loved ones can get her the help that she needs before it's too late!

She's getting up there in age, she needs to be taking care of herself if she wants to stay healthy!

Poor thing! You're in our thoughts, gurl.

Stay strong.

Kelly Clarkson Talks About New Album

Miss Independent Is Coming Out With 5th Album

Kelly Clarkson is wrapping up work on her fifth album, and she has been posting about it online.

"I record my last song on the 25th of this month and then we will be releasing the album!" Kelly wrote Monday night.

She has been working more this month with writer/producer Toby Gad, whose previous credits include Beyoncé's If I Were a Boy and Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry, as well as songs with Kris Allen, Jordin Sparks and Allison Iraheta.

Also, Kelly says, Eric Hutchinson, our pal who opened for Kelly on her fall 2009 tour (and whose hit OK, It's Alright With Me was used on an American Idol episode in Season 9), has penned one of her favorites on the new album, a song "highly influenced by Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder."

When it comes to inspirations, Kelly writes:

"This album was influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there's a little bit of a Country vibe/influence on a couple of songs. … [T]he album is gonna be a great pop record! I can't wait for y'all to hear it!"

Hope the album's as good as it sounds.

We can't wait to hear it!

Musical Legends Mourn Jackson

turnross221.jpg

No one is untouched by the passing of Michael Jackson and his fellow legendary musical comrades and friends are all shocked by his passing.

Diana Ross released a statement saying: "I can't stop crying, this is too sudden and shocking. I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting. I am in prayer for his kids and the family."

At the same time, Tina Turner was quoted about the sudden death of her peer: "I am shocked and saddened by Michael's passing. I, along with his millions of fans, looked forward to seeing him tour one more time. Now, may he rest in peace."
