The trial in which Tom Hanks was a member of the jury came to an end today, way before Sheriff Woody could do his civic duty!
During a lunch break yesterday, Tom was approached by a lady on the L.A. City Attorney's Office who wanted to applaud his service
for saving private Ryan doing his part on the jury, even as a celebrity!
When the court reconvened today, the prosecutor 'fessed up that a member of the City Attorney's Office had made inappropriate conduct by getting too extremely loud & incredibly close with Tommy boy!
Maybe the inappropriate conduct wasn't as
Tom Hanks has multiple Oscars, more money than Moses, and he strikes fear in the heart of every baseball player who has ever considered crying, but there's no fighting City Hall!
The 57-year-old actor found this out the hard way recently when he was selected to serve on a jury panel in a case where a man stands accused of domestic violence after allegedly battering a woman!!
Tommy boy apparently doesn't take his civic duty lightly, either. Sources say he's paying very close attention to the case before him, taking notes, and definitely not whining about the time he lost Wilson.
We applaud the Toy Story star's commitment to outstanding citizenry!
We just hope his fellow jurists don't take an extra long time deliberating just so they get to spend more QT with the Hollywood legend!
He's a busy man, and Joe Versus the Volcano 2 certainly won't film itself!
Tom Hanks loves the Dodgers so much, so deeply, that he's willing to alter his appearance for them!
That's right, he's wearing Dodgers gear — a hat — while going about his day! LOLz!
He was spotted arriving at a local studio for work when someone noticed him reppin' his team in addition to the casual button-up and cargo shorts he was sportin'! We love how laid back he is!
Seriously, no matter where we are when we finally run into Tom Hanks, we're going to offer to buy him a beer! It seems like he's the kind of celeb that would take us up on that!

This Christmas, the happiest place on earth will be in a movie theater!
Because that's the day Tom Hanks and Disney will be making movie magic with their new film, Saving Mr. Banks!
The flick is about Walt Disney's never-ending quest to adapt Mary Poppins from a book to the big screen! But it took him 14 years of convincing before author P.L. Travers, played by Emma Thompson, would agree to let the House of Mouse make a movie about her umbrella-riding nanny!
Today, Disney is releasing the official movie poster and it gave us instant CHILLS! Shadows of Mickey Mouse and Mary Poppins? GENIUS!!!
OMG! All we want for Christmas is THIS! Cannot WAIT to see!!!
Saving Mr. Banks also stars Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti and B.J. Novak.

This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home, and THESE little piggies made their way onto the Internet!
All thanks to proud grandpa Tom Hanks!
The actor waited almost an entire four weeks to share a picture of Colin Hanks’ baby girl Charlotte Bryant Hanks, but the important thing is that he did.
Tom posted this pic of some totally adorbises feet (above), saying:
We need to see this. RIGHT NOW.
Disney has just released the first trailer for their upcoming and eagerly anticipated Walt Disney biopic, Saving Mr. Banks, and we’re sadly left with the realization that we have to wait until December 13th for its release!
As the flick revolves around Walt’s efforts to adapt P.L. Travers’ Mary Poppins to the big screen, the character’s real-life counterparts Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson are absolutely believable and riveting in their according roles!
Ch-ch-check out the moving movie trailer (above), and see the film's ensemble cast, including B.J. Novak, Bradley Whitford, and Paul Giamatti!!!
