Ever since the tragic and unforgettable disbandment of One Direction, we've been wondering what our favorite British boy banders would be up to next.

And while Harry Styles has been reportedly gearing up to record his debut solo album like Zayn Malik, it looks like his career could be going in a completely different direction — becoming a movie star!

That's right! Harry has just joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's upcoming film Dunkirk, after a reportedly VERY extensive search for the film's younger leads.

The World War II action thriller stars Tom Hardy and Oscar-winner Mark Rylance, and centers on the British military evacuation of the French city Dunkirk in 1940.

Wow — not a bad gig for his first role!

This isn't the first time we've heard about the former 1D member stepping in front of the camera — Lea Michele has been gunning for the heartthrob to appear in Season 2 of Scream Queens!

It looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Harry soon enough!

What do YOU think about the singer's big break as an actor?

We totally felt the love at the 2016 Oscars!

Many jubilant stars smiled their way through Sunday night's Academy Awards, but no one was smiling more than the winners of the night!

And while not everyone was lucky enough to take home Oscar gold, being thanked in an award winner's speech is almost just as big of an honor!

Making movies is a collaborative experience, and no award is earned without the help of a director, costar, or the support of a loved one.

Eddie Redmayne may not have won Best Lead Actor for his role in The Danish Girl, but at least he got a shoutout in Alicia Vikander's speech when she won Best Supporting Actress!

Ch-ch-check out the best GIF reactions of those who were thanked by the night's biggest winners (below)!

Congratulations are in order for Alejandro González Iñárritu!

On Sunday, the 52-year-old was named Best Director at the 2016 BAFTA Awards for his work on The Revenant. The acclaimed director took the stage at the Royal Opera House to accept the honor!

Iñárritu gave an incredible speech as he dedicated the award to his wife ahead of their 20th anniversary and thanked everyone from Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, to the rest of the cast and crew who worked on The Revenant!

Alejandro took the award home over fellow filmmakers Adam McKay (The Big Short), Steven Spielberg (Bridge of Spies), Todd Haynes (Carol), and Ridley Scott (The Martian), so clearly the competition was SUPER stiff!

And even though those incredible artists didn't take home this trophy, they definitely made some memorable movies! Ch-ch-check out Alejandro's full speech (above)!

Tom Hardy Gets Completely Naked Filming The Upcoming Miniseries Taboo — Take A Look!

Bless his heart, Tom Hardy will do anything for a role!

The actor made that clear on the set of his new miniseries Taboo, when he had no problem skinnydipping in a freezing cold London lake!

Interestingly enough, the BBC One and FX period collaboration was created from a story Tom co-wrote with his father Chips Hardy.

And we guess the Hardy boys know what audiences really want to tune in to see — because one storyline called for Hardy to strip down and go for a swim in a lake!

The 38-year-old had no problem showing off every inch of his buff physique for the camera, and didn't seem to care that the cold water might affect the appearance of his… Bronson? Legend? (insert penis/Hardy movie title double entendre here.)

Tommy is hardly the only actor to go full frontal for the camera — Ben Affleck and Jude Law are just a few more Hollywood Hunks who showed their stuff on the big screen…
