Jessica Simpson was being interviewed by a Nashville radio station The River yesterday and the Proactiv spokesperson was asked about Carrie Underwood's assertion to Allure magazine that Tony Romo (her ex and Simpson's current beau) still calls her.

Well, Jessica found Carrie's remarks laughable.

"Tony and I both laughed at that," says Simpson. "We got a chuckle out of it."

Jessica DEFINITELY knows Carrie is lying.

Black magic woman Jessica Simpson is back to haunt you Cowboy fanatics!

She’s getting an early start on the cursing business.

According to a new report, Poppa Joe Simpson revealed that daughter Jess is planning on hanging with your football boys at their pre-season training camp up in Oxnard, CA (about an hour north of LA).

Joe was ALREADY spotted at the Cowboy camp over the weekend.

There's more bad news.

Poppa Simpson told a reporter, "She's coming to the games this year, so you better get ready. She's a fan from the beginning to the end."

Pops also had something to say about his boobalicious daughter's BF, Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo, "He better have the year of his life. I hope he does. He works hard — always working his game, always thinking about it."

Joe can't keep his meddling ways at bay. If Poppa keeps it up, Romo might break up with Jess.

We're sure y'all in Dallas are hoping for it!

Last week in NYC, Jessica Simpson was reportedly mistaken for Tony Romo's ex-girlfriend Carrie Underwood in the lobby of her NYC hotel, according to OK! Magazine.

An eyewitness reports, “She (the Underwood fan) said she was her number-one fan from back in the Idol days. Jessica smiled politely and didn’t correct her, and she started to laugh when the girl asked how she was doing since her devastating split from Chace [Crawford].”

A friend of Jess' supposedly told the mag, “She wasn’t pleased that the girl had no clue who she was!”

Ouch!

Tony Romo wants everyone to know that Joe Simpson was/is not interfering in his relationship with Jessica Simpson.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback says that all those 'rumors' flying ’round that troubs stemmed from Daddy Simpson are 'laughable'.

Romo is also saying that his parents totally approve of AND get along with the Simpson family too!

In fact, a source reports that Romo's father, Ramiro, was bribed with a trip to went to the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Ga., with Joe Simpson earlier this year and "had a great time."

And, to support Tony's latest statement, reports claim that there was 'more family bonding' when, after spending a couple of days in Dallas, Jess and Romo shared a lunch date this past Friday with preggers Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz at a Chili's.

Is Ass craving baby back ribs these days?

Poppa Joe A source leaked, "Jess was giggling and grabbing onto Tony. They were both very natural and sweet with each other. It was cute to see the sisters and their guys having such a good time."

Tony & Yoko Romo are bound to break up before football season starts again.

Daddy's to blame!

Us Weekly is reporting that Jessica Simpson's father, dadager Joe Simpson, nearly ruined her relationship with Tony Romo.

He's apparently the reason for the couple's brief split in May.

Seems like Poppa Joe wanted to cas$h in on his daughter's impending engagement to the Dallas Cowboys Quarterback.

Dad had planned to sell the exclusive on the engagement news, and, as we all found out, things took a very sour turn!

According to the report, Tony has given Jessica a final ultimatum.

She needs to tell dad to back off or he's gone.

As for Joe, he says “It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?"

Riiiiiight.

Joe adds, "A parent will always be there for his kids and never give up on them. I work hard seven days a week for my girls because I love them. Why in the world would I ever want to do anything that would hurt my children?"

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are giving their romance another try.

However, according to reports, Tony's in ONLY if Joe Simpson backs off.

A source reveals that Romo has told Jessica their renewed relationship is ”a trial thing,” dependent on Poppa Joe ”leaving them alone” and stifling his tendency to tell Romo how to run his life, career and endorsement deals.

Wonder how long Joe can keep his meddling ways in check?
