The rumors were true!
Now that T.R. Knight has more than enough extra time on his hands, he'll be hitting the center stage come September.
Too bad the former Grey's Anatomy star won't be taking Broadway by storm!
Knight, a Broadway vet himself, has signed on to to star in Jason Robert Brown's Los Angeles production of Parade.
Says Knight on his return to the theatre: "I am very fortunate to return to the theater playing Leo Frank in this incredible, acclaimed production of Parade. After a five-year break, it feels great to be on stage again."
The Tony-award winning musical is the story of "Leo Frank, convicted for the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1913… [and] the press frenzy and public outrage about Frank's trial, and his wife's crusade for justice."
Parade will run from September 24th to November 15th at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.
We might have to check it out!

It ain't over till its over… and it is sooooo over!
T.R. Knight has released the official word that he is leaving the series that made him mildly famous, Grey's Anatomy.
He says: "Leaving Grey's Anatomy was not an easy decision for me to make. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to play this character and will miss my fellow cast and crew very much. I continue to wish them the very best, and wholeheartedly thank all of the fans who have supported me and the show with such passion and enthusiasm."
Not to be outdone, creator Shonda Rhimes followed suit and released her own statement regarding Knight's departure.
She adds, "I think I speak for the entire Grey’s Anatomy family when I say we wish T.R. Knight the best in his future endeavors. He is an incredibly talented actor and a person whose strength of character is admired by all of us.”
So George is dead and Izzie lives. But now who will Katherine Heigl bitch to about meaningless crap behind-the-scenes? Sounds like the show needs another resident gay!
Get to work people!

T.R. Knight seems to want to uproot his WHOLE life. After officially being let go of his contract this week from Grey's Anatomy, the actor has decided he wants to field some offers from the Great White Way.
A source reveals: "He wants to get to New York and do theater, but there are no done deals yet."
He has a background in the theater, having performed with the great Patti LuPone in the 2001 revival of Noises Off and it was reported that back in March, he read for the Broadway revival of Lend Me Tenor directed by Stanley Tucci.
We still think it was a BIG mistake leaving Grey's, but if he's out maybe we can get someone younger, hotter, and less whiny to replace him. Oh, yeah we like this idea!
Bye T.R.! Don't let the ER door hit you in the ass on the way out!

We hope he's got a lot of money saved up!
Once again, T. R. Knight's departure from Grey's Anatomy has been confirmed, this time by Entertainment Weekly.
Knight's departure is just another piece of the dramz that has beset the program.
Apparently, series creator Shinda Rhimes had been preparing for Knight to leave, reducing his appearance in the last half of the season so that his absence from the finale would not seem unnatural.
Considering the cliffhanger revelation that Knight's character is the John Doe hit by a bus, it looks like he may not survive into the next season. Duh!

Spotted: T.R. Knight and his boyfriend at the gay marriage rally in Fresno, California, on Saturday.
Yay!!!!!!!

He's in. He's out.
He's back in?
This morning it was reported that T.R. Knight was not returning for the next season of Grey's Anatomy.
But, not so fast, because now there might be hope.
A tweet from show creator Shonda Rhimes suggests that the news of T.R.'s departure is false or as she puts it, "a hilarious, ridiculous rumor."
But is it?
All anyone is sure about is that both he and Katherine Heigl are under contract for another season and judging by Shonda's instant reaction to the news, she clearly wants to keep them on board.
At the fall upfronts for ABC, entertainment boss Stephen McPherson also weighed in on the situation, but gave no definite answer: "They've both signed on [for next season]. I can't say whether or not they'll both be there."
Way to keep the fans dangling.
Our bet: Geroge out, Izzie in.
But we'll just have to wait and see!

It comes as no surprise that T R Knight will not be returning to Grey's Anatomy for the next season, according to new reports.
We're known for a long time that Knight's wanted off the show, which became a point of unbearable contention between the actor and show creator Shonda Rhimes.
Reps for Knight and ABC did not comment.
It is unknown if Knight's best hag, Katherine Heigl, will be joining him in his departure.

While the outpouring of support from straight celebrities was heartwarming, we were very saddened at the lack of turnout from gay and lesbian stars at the Prop 8 rally in West Hollywood on Tuesday night.
Where was Ellen? Where was Neil Patrick? Where was T.R.?
Oh, wait. We know where T.R. was!
There are no reports that we know of that list him as attending last night's rally. Instead, T.R. Knight, was seemingly too busy having dinner at Katsuya restaurant with his boyfriend Mark Cornelsen to show up and lend his support.
We're guessing he doesn't care about ever getting married?
But even if he doesn't care to, you'd think he'd at least want to support his fellow gays.
Hope the food was good!
