Travis Barker and DJ AM are slowly getting over the tragic plane crash that took the lives of their friends and almost killed them as well.
The pair will perform together later this month for the first time together since the accident, they just announced. They will take stage and headline the New Year's Nation's Los Angeles New Year's Eve Party at The Lot in West Hollywood.
And in a statement, Barker seems happy to be getting back to work.
Says Travis, "I'm ready to get back on stage with AM and continue to rock the house. I'm very excited to bring in the New Year in my hometown of L.A."
And for those of you that can't make it, their performance will be streamed on the Internet and will also be broadcast at the other New Year's Nation parties across the country.

In his first interview since the tragic plane crash that left him with third degree burns, Travis Barker told E! News, "If something goes wrong that's not supposed to go wrong or you fall victim of it, I think you should be compensated."
The drummer has filed a lawsuit over the crash, saying that he "didn't ask" to be covered in the third degree burns that now prevent him from doing a lot of the things he used to love doing, such as swimming.
DJ AM, however, is not part of the lawsuit, and Barker said he could not speak for him.
But, the lawsuit is not simply about him. Barker said, "I lost two friends in the accident. Nothing can bring them back or what I lost in the accident."
A lawsuit isn't going to bring them back either.
Well, best of luck.

Plane crash survivor Travis Barker has sued the companies linked to the tragic South Carolina accident that killed two of his friend and injured him and DJ AM.
According to reports, the drummer sued the plane's owners, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., and an airplane maintenance company.
He's seeking more than $25,000 in damages.
That's it????
We would be seeking more like 25 MILLION!
The paperwork filed says the companies improperly operated and maintained the Learjet that overshot a runway and burst into flames on September 19th.
The mother of one of the crash fatalities, Charles Monroe Still Jr (Travis' bodyguard), has joined Travis in the lawsuit.
She's seeking damages for grief and sorrow, funeral expenses and loss of earnings.
DJ AM's lawsuit plans, if any, were not mentioned in the report.
This has to be one of the saddest stories of the year.

Tragic events have a way of healing old wounds.
Blink 182's Mark Hoppus has revealed that the recent death of Blink producer Jerry Finn and Travis Barker's miraculous survival of a plane crash has brought the trio back together. Sorta.
They're at least talking (with Tom DeLonge) for the first time in years!
The band's break up in 2005 was quite messy and Mark and Trav haven't really spoken to DeLonge since.
Hoppus said on his blog, "We're just reconnecting as friends after four years of not talking. It's a good thing. Obviously the first question for a lot of people will be, 'Does this mean a Blink-182 reunion?' The answer is none of us know. We haven't talked about it at all. Right now it's just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect and let the past be the past."
C'mon, guys!
Just one reunion tour?

It's great to see Travis Barker settling back into family life!
The plane crash survivor and his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, enjoyed a day at Disneyland with their kiddies on Tuesday.
Fun, fun!
Hope they voted before they headed out!
Make it work once and for all, you two.

Federal aviation spokespeople are now saying - officially - that the little Learjet's tires were stripped to nothing as the aircraft careened down the runway to its ultimate fate, killing 4 and leaving DJ A.M. and Travis Barker badly burned.
Recordings from the cockpit indicate that the crew suspected a blown tire and attempted to abort take-off. But traveling at over 100 miles per hour, the plane swiftly ran out of runway and tore through a wall, crashing into an embankment.
The runway is now scarred where the bare rims of the aircraft sparked across it.
The National Transportation Safety Board reported today, Wednesday, that there was almost no rubber remaining on the Learjet's tires and that its brakes were severely damaged.
That sucks.

He said that he was getting out soon, but we didn't realize it was this soon!
On Friday, Travis Barker's reps confirmed that the drummer was released from the hospital.
Travis has undergone about a month's worth of treatment between a Georgia burn center and Los Angeles-area burn center.
We're sure his kids Alabama and Landon are happy to have daddy home!

In a new blog post, Travis Barker has some good news and a couple of pictures to share.
In addition to visits from friends, Travis also received a gift of food from his favorite restaurant, Matsuhisa.
But, he's most excited about getting home to his kids, Landon and Alabama, ages 4 and 2, respectively.
"Just another quick one to let everyone know that I think Im getting out of the hospital soon I can't wait to get out of here and be home with the babes. The doctors say Im healing up quickly and I'm gonna be out of here b4 you know it."
Although he commends the staff, he gives a crispy middle finger to hospital life.
We agree! We'd hate being stuck in bed all day, enduring surgery after surgery!

Travis Barker took his MySpace page on Saturday to thank everyone who's been there for him during his recovery from the burn injuries he sustained in that tragic September plane crash that left four dead.
He's also uploaded hospital photos and an update about his medical treatment:
I want to give my deepest thanks to everyone who has helped deal with the current situation. First and foremost, Chris and Che were my friends. I would give up anything to have them here with us today, healthy and happy. To call them my employees does them such a disservice, as they were so much more than that. Chris was my best friend before anything else, and I can never put into words how much he will be missed. Che was an amazing person as well, and I was honored to have him in my life.
I am simply amazed and will be forever grateful for all the support everyone has shown to Chris and Che's families.
Its a testament to how many lives they touched in a positive way.
Hospital Life!
Like the doctors said from the beginning, its been a slow recovery process. I am coming up on the 7th of my surgeries Monday. Today I finally was able to move all my fingers on my right hand. Every step seems huge at this point, and Im doing EVERYTHING I can possibly do to get back to my kids. Yes, I did start eating meat again, but if it helps me to be home holding my little humans sooner, then its all worth it. The staff here are all bomb! Dr. Grossman and his staff are the best. The BOSS Barbara, and nurses Betty, Jay , Emily, Julio, Lolita, and Stephanie (with the best scrubs ever!) are all taking the best care of me…

Powerful stuff!
