The Worst Yet!! Urban Outfitters Takes Inappropriate To Disgusting New Level With Blood-Splattered Kent State Sweatshirt — WTF!?!
No. Just no.
But their latest slip-up just might be the worst one EVER.
The retailer has been selling a faux vintage sweatshirt with a Kent State logo on it, and the fabric appears to be covered in blood stains.
In case you forgot, Kent State was the scene of a bloody massacre in 1970 when four unarmed students were killed by the Ohio National Guard for protesting the Vietnam War. The sweatshirt seems to be a reference to that tragic event.
To see the sweatshirt in question and what Kent State University had to say about it, keep reading:
Remember that time Urban Outfitters was criticized for selling a shirt with a patch resembling the Star Of David, similar to the one Jewish people were forced to wear under Hitler's reign in Nazi Germany?
Well, apparently Zara doesn't remember that incident, because they recently tried to sell a shirt with a comparable patch.
Unfortunately, Zara's version was much, much worse because the six-pointed star was yellow and sewn onto blue and white striped fabric — which just happens to make the shirt look almost identical to the uniforms Jewish prisoners had to wear in WWII concentration camps.
Obviously customers were outraged, but Zara was quick to respond via Twitter:
How far is TOO far?
That question seems to come up often in the fashion world!
But many have been astonished by the retailer’s latest misstep — the sale of a shirt COVERED in the word “depression”!
After a plethora of complaints from people battling the disorder, the store finally had the shirt pulled from their inventory with the following explanation:
“We did not create the Depression brand logo tee shirt and it most certainly was not a social statement of any kind. It was brought to our attention that customers were offended by the product. Though is was not intended to exploit mental illness, we respectfully removed the product as to not further upset anyone. We’re sorry to those offended by the tee. We were trying to support a small brand, not glamorize mental illness in any way.”
Even if the brand named Depression owed its logo to the idea of an indent, if Urban had just looked at or thought about the shirt for a minute, they probably could’ve seen the controversy coming a mile away.

Someone's staying busy these days!
Maybe she wanted to grab something to show her appreciation for her former Glee co-star’s amazing voice??
We don't really know, but according to the paparazzi at the scene, she searched throughout the crowded store for fun novelty gifts, and left with a bag as big as Santa’s on Christmas day!
Spoiler alert for anyone on her Xmas list: she definitely grabbed a Mad Libs calendar!! Shhhh don’t tell! LOLz!
We're also loving her urbany winter outfit! That oversized navy coat with the skinny jeans and boots looks nice and cozy.
Stay warm, lady!

Urban Outfitters seems to really know how to offend select groups of people with their clothes!
Over the past couple of years they've pissed off the Irish, Jews, LGBT community, Navajo Nation with various merch, and now they’ve found themselves in hot water for trying to sell a shirt with Gangster Disciples symbol printed across the chest.
In case you didn't know, the GD’s are a Chicago gang that was started in the 60’s, and they're not to be messed with.
They're the same group who
Out with the old and in with the new!
If you’re struggling to get 2013 rolling in the right direction, don’t worry because Urban Outfitters is there to kick you in the butt!
The retailers released this video, which features people quitting smoking, waxing their body hair and cleaning up cat poop to help start the year on a positive note!
So, thanks Urban, because we weren’t ready to move on until we heard someone rip ass while doing yoga. Wait, what?
Just ch-ch-check out the video (above)!
She loves fashion as much as we love her!
The singer slash actress, who also has her own clothing line, has a serious passion for fashion, but who wouldn’t if they looked that great?!
On the cover, J-Hud rocks a
