It's been eight years, almost 200 episodes, some serious drama on and OFF the screen, and one helluva lawsuit, but in one short week, Desperate Housewives will be coming to an end…for GOOD!
Check out the just-released promo for the last two episodes of the ABC drama, Give Me the Blame and Finishing the Hat, when they air as a two-parter series finale next Sunday, May 13th (above)!
And it looks as though there will be some familiar faces dropping by to say their good-byes!
So crazy!
We feel like it was only yesterday we took our first walk ’round Wristeria Lane!
Congratulations again to all of the cast and crew for such an incredible run!
It's been an absolutely SCANDALOUS blast! We'll miss you, ladies!

That was fast!
Desperate Housewives finished shooting its final episode just last week, and Teri Hatcher has already landed a new gig.
The actress has signed up for a recurring role on ABC Family's Jane By Design. Teri will be playing Jane's momma, as well as step behind the lens to direct an episode!
Hatcher is SUPER excited about her directorial debut. In a statement she gushed:

In Vanessa Williams' new book, written by her and her mom Helen Williams, she gives readers an open and honest look at her life growing up, including sexual abuse, her Miss America pageant scandal, and so much more.
And now, in a recent candid interview, Vanessa opens up about another horrible experience in her life

Getting real with the Williams!
Vanessa Williams and her mother Helen Williams have finally finished their book You Have No Idea: A Famous Daughter, Her No-Nonsense Mother, and How They Survived Pageants, Hollywood, Love, Loss (and Each Other)! Whoa, what a title.
But not all of it is fun and games.

We are very proud of Vanessa Williams.
The actress has bravely come forward and revealed that she was sexually abused as a child.
Vanessa is speaking out about it in interviews, and discuses the issue in her new memoir, You Have No Idea.
She says she was just 10-years-old when she suffered abuse at the hands of the 18-year-old daughter of her parents’ friends, who:
“pulled down the bloomers of my cotton baby-doll pajamas. I lay there paralyzed. What was I going to do?”
But she didn't let the insolence paralyze her for long. She adds that, even though it did inspire some teenage rebellion, it didn't stop her from accomplishing her goals:
“It didn’t paralyse me, and I don’t dwell.”
Opening up about something like this is VERY hard, but bringing the subject into a public conversation can raise awareness for the children that become victims of this sick abuse everyday.

Mini van drivers unite!
Vanessa Williams may be saying done with her roll as a tween-toting soccer mom on Desperate Housewives, but her role as a soccer mom off-screen is not over yet.
When asked how she plans on spending her down time, momma Williams revealed she isn't planning on having much of a break at all. She confesses:
“I’m literally driving my 11-year-old to school and bringing snacks to soccer games and going to her swim meets, so there’s not much down time. But if I was away on vacation, my first stop would probably be to a spa to get a nice massage and relax!”
Aw, what a good mom!
Even super stars rather treat their kids than themselves. Seriously though, she can use one afternoon at the spa.
And in just a couple months, V is going to go on mom duty AND back to work, promoting her new book.
