We thought we would never want to see Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson or Mary J. Blige sing backup for anyone else, but after watching them do it for each other during last, we've come around to the idea!

Last night's tribute to Soul music was truly spectacular, with things kicking off with these three incomparable performers giving their own on a meldy of their own music intertwined with some of soul's most icon jams!

It was assumed by us all that Courtney Stodden was nothing more than a money-hungry, fame-whoring, attention-seeking, gold-digging teen bride. But none of that is true! Girl actually has … standards!

According to reports, Courtney was approached by VH1 to star in a reality show with her husband Doug Hutchison. The pair was offered mucho $$$ to sign on to Relationship Rehab, a new show being produced by the same team behind Celebrity Rehab. The show offers counseling and therapy to couples in El Lay who having difficulty with their marriages for one reason or another.

Leave it to Chelsea Handler to tell it like it is, especially when people be acting' a-fool!

This new show is on VH1, perhaps you've heard of it - Why Am I Still Single?

It's a simple question, but it invites complex answers and revelations about the people who agree to be one. Like this woman Chelsea puts under the microscope. For some reason, she equates her love life to a rotisserie chicken.

And that is all we're telling you because you MUST watch for yourself what happens next.

Chaka Khan. Erykah Badu. Boyz II Men?

VH1 announced that there will be more Divas added to mix for their annual performance show, VH1 Divas.

The list includes English singers Estelle and Marsha Ambrosius, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings as well as the aformentioned Khan and Badu.

Male artists will also join the foray, including Travie McCoy and Boyz II Men.

The Godfather of Hip-Hop has lost a dear friend.

This morning, Russell Simmons appeared on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live and talked briefly about the loss of one of his own, rapper Heavy D.

Calling Heavy a "special artist," Russell thought back to when he first listened to Mr. Big Stuff and how he knew then that Heavy was going to be a "author of a whole new kind of music."

This is going to be DIVA-MAZING!

VH1 has just announced that this year's DIVAS show will focus on soul music, and they've got quite a lineup set!

Performers who will be featured on the show, which airs on Dec 19, include Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Jill Scott, Florence + The Machine, and Jessie J!

Not only that, but The Roots will be featured as the house band for the performance. Coolio!

Here's what VH1's EVP of Original Music Production & Development Lee Rolontz had to say about it:

"This years’ telecast will showcase the vast impact soul music has had on the 21st century’s music and pop culture landscape as our talented and diverse lineup will attest. This year’s Divas offers a modern twist on soul music, all while tipping its hat to the legacy of key cities that created this musical heritage."
