Bret Michaels' Super Cruise Canceled!

Bret Michaels Cruise Canceled

Sorry fans!

No Rock of Love: Boat Edition for you!

Bret Michaels' "Super Cruise" has officially been canceled.

Bret promised to hang out with his fans for the 4 day voyage, but they were let down when the cancellation letters came in the mail citing "lack of participation."

Bret blames it all on the promoter and feels very sorry for his fans, stating:

I want to reassure everyone that I have went out of my way to try and make this the best fan cruise on the high seas. Know that I am working hard to right this wrong. All money will be refunded to you.

Dude, Bret, just talk to VH1 and get them to pay for it! Duh!

Lance Bass Creating Boy Band Reality Show

lance-bass-to-create-boy-band-reality-show.jpg

Okay, fiiiiine. If we can't have *N Sync, then guess we'll have to settle for a Lance Bass created reality show.

The former boy-bander-turned-reality-producer is creating SIX new shows, including one for VH1, which will be a competition show a la The Voice, except with boy bands competing instead of solo artists.

He's brought on his pal Joey Fatone to join Backstreet Boys' A.J. Mclean, New Kids on the Block's Joey McIntyre, and possibly even Bobby Brown who will use his New Edition expertise.

Each former boy band member will choose the most talented guys to form the ultimate boy band, then they'll compete head-to-head to see who the best band is.

Every guy has signed on, except for Bobby, which Lance says he "thinks Bobby will do it. I think he'd love it."

It sounds like it could be a possible hit. And, if they can get Bobby to sign on, you know the sparks will fly!

Would U watch Lance's reality show?

Remember VH1's Pop Up Video? It's Back!!!

In honor of the return of VH1's Pop Up Video, we've decided to share with you the show's fun/informative video for the classic Backstreet Boys song As Long As You Love Me (above)!

And yes, you heard correctly…Pop Up Video will return to VH1 starting this fall!

The network has already ordered 60 episodes, so expect to learn all types of interesting information about your favorite artists, such as NSYNC, Hanson, and Spice Girls Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, and Kanye West!

This time around, there will also be interactive elements associated with the show, including "user polling" and "user-generated pop up content." Awesome!

How excited are U for more Pop Up Video? Very? Extremely?? So excited that you can barely stop shaking long enough to respond??? Ha!

VH1 Goes Scripted! One-Hour Dramedy Series Coming Next Month!

vh1 goes scripted with first one hour dramedy series

Guess we'll see if they'll keep up that success streak from Mob Wives.

While VH1 may be doing well with their new reality series, as we first mentioned back in October, the network has decided to move on to bigger and more scripted things with their new one hour dramedy series Single Ladies!

The show sort of premieres on May 30 with a "two-hour movie pilot," and then the first actual episode begins on June 6.

The network has ordered a 10 episode first season of the show, which "follows three best friends with different philosophies on sex and relationships." The actresses playing the friends are Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy, and Charity Shea.

Here's what VH1's EVP of Original Programming and Production Jeff Olde had to say about the show:

"We are thrilled here at VH1 to be delving into our FIRST hour-long scripted series with Single Ladies. This series taps directly into relationship and love issues and shows women with real strengths, vulnerabilities, and flaws that many of our audience can directly identify with."

We give you lots of credit for expanding yourselves like this, VH1. Good luck!

VH1's Mob Wives Is A Hit! (Pun Intended)

mob wives is a hit

Watch out, Real Housewives! Looks like you've got some dangerous SERIOUS competition!

VH1's Mob Wives series premiere went spectacularly, with 1.4 million total viewers, or 2.2 million viewers if you include the 10 pm encore episode! Wowsa!

The episode was the #1 most watched non-sports cable program for the 8 pm time slot for women 18-49 AND 18-34, and it scored a .9 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is a 92% increase over VH1's average primetime Sunday night rating!

Looks like women REALLY love the mob!

MIGHT be a good time to get going on that Sopranos movie, HBO!

Mob-Mania has begun!!!

Did U tune in for Mob Wives? If so, did U enjoy it?
