She's still down with Adele!!
After releasing the audio track of her Rolling in the Deep/Ain't No Mountain High cover this week, Miz Aretha Franklin has been making her late night TV rounds.
She stopped by David Letterman on Monday to perform the jam — but instead of listening to the song, we were totally distracted by one of her stage-mates…
Specifically, the familiar looking woman to the left!
Since we've got extensive diva knowledge, we had a feeling there was a famous face among the soul queen that evening — and it's none other than Whitney Houston's 81-year-old momma Cissy, singing backup!
First off, we're just so happy to see the gospel songstress is out, about and working these days. She looks just wonderful! But still, we couldn't help but notice her disinterest in the performance, which is odd especially since she's been singing backup for Aretha since the mid-1960s.
Maybe she's just not a fan of Adele! But — who doesn't love Adele?!
Ch-ch-check out the song (above) and try and guess Miz Houston's emotions throughout! It's pretty great!

However, according to an official at the LA Coroner's office, her claims are totally invalid!
In an interview with the U.K.'s Telegraph, the Freaky Friday actress recalled the time she completed a probation program at the morgue and revealed that she was the one who handled Whitney's body after she passed away.
Well, her whole story didn't add up at all and officials confirmed that LiLo was lying about the whole thing — even the part about Whitney's body being in a body bag!
Apparently the deceased singer's body was never in a body bag and no one in the probation program came close to Whitney's body, said the official.
When the How Will I Know singer passed away, the autopsy was
Um, wait, what?!
Lindsay Lohan has made some crazy claims in her day, but these newest ones have us scratching our heads!
The star did an interview with U.K.'s Telegraph, and in it, she talks about moving to London and her 2011 community service.
We'll start with the weirdest part, which is when LiLo basically claims she was the one who rolled Whitney Houston's body into the LA morgue!
Talking about the judge's decision to punish her probation violation by making her serve her community service at an L.A. County coroner office, Lindsay said
Mariah Carey's marriage may be fading, but her star is still shining bright.
TIME magazine has created a brand new Pop Star ranking metric, measuring artists' number of hits, chart placement, and longevity since 1960 - a sort of Hot 100 of the past 54 years (hey, they ARE called TIME magazine).
And it's good news for the Elusive Chanteuse, because she has beaten The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and more to come out on top as the Ultimate Pop Star!
But where did everyone else rank? See the rest of the top ten…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
The drama over the Whitney Houston biopic continues!
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston, stated her objections over the Lifetime film and made an emotional plea to her daughter's fans.
WHOA! Not anybody can successfully imitate Whitney Houston's voice…
But it seems that Deborah Cox isn't just anybody because she can do a DAMN good cover of The Bodyguard's famed song!
Thank gosh, too because she's set to sing for YaYa DaCosta in the upcoming Lifetime biopic about the famed singer's life!
In this totally vintage YouTube video, Deborah sings Whitney's version of I Will Always Love You and she's absolutely blown us away!
No one will ever do Whitney perfectly, but Deborah surely comes close!
She's absolutely brilliant! They couldn't have chosen a better singer for the job!
Ch-ch-check out her vintage rendition of the song…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Wow, we're SO happy to hear the director of the Whitney Houston biopic, Angela Bassett, decided to enlist the AH-mazing Deborah Cox to provide vocals for the actress Yaya DaCosta!! With Deborah's impressive background in Broadway, we know she's more than capable to bring Whitney's greatest hits to life!
When Whitney tragically passed a few years ago, we and all of her many fans were devastated. While we can't bring our beloved songstress back, at least we can honor her AH-mazing voice on the small screen!
While Dacosta has the looks down pat, Cox will bring credibility to the film with her powerful set of lungs.
To refresh y'all on Deborah's background, she starred in the a few Broadway hits like Aida and is responsible for the mega popular track, Nobody's Supposed to Be Here!! Like the late Whitney herself, girl can sing!
We can't wait to see the biopic and we think Deborah will do an AH-mazing job!!
