The Nashville Zoo has a new temporary addition on its hands!

The zoo welcomed a female baby Eurasian Lynx on May 4th!!!

And the funny thing was - the zoo wasn't sure the baby's mom was even pregnant until she actually gave birth! Lolz!

Here's what the zoo's director said:

William Shatner is just one man.

So when the Star Trek star speaks, we unequivocally listen.

For a new Greenpeace ad, Shatner makes the insightful point that pet owners would do anything to keep their beloved ones safe from harm.

But those same animal lovers seem nonchalant about the destruction happening to earth's animals and its environment as a whole.

We should protect ALL the animals, or as many as we can!

Right?!

If there's one thing we cannot get enough of, it's television shows involving animals!

We want 'em, love 'em, and adore 'em.

Which is why we're happy to hear that there are a TON of new animal television shows coming this spring.

Coming very soon - Urban Tarzan starring John Brennan, who actually changed his legal name to UrbanTarzan and has saved and helped exotic animals for over 20 years, will being airing on television on March 19th!

If you're expecting boring and tedious work though, you shouldn't have tuned in to Spike TV.

Motion-triggered digital camera traps have given scientists a brand new way to study wild animals. And this method gets up close and personal!!

Managed by Conservation International, the network has deployed camera traps across 16 sites in Asia, Africa and Latin America, at each site, the traps collect up to 60,000 images every year - which may help scientists collect data that would have otherwise taken years to organize.

A 60 year old man from New Hampshire has the tough task of getting 27 orphan bear cubs cuties to bed….

FOR THE WINTER!!!

As reported earlier, Ben Kilham is the area's "bear rehabilitator", and every year, he gets the fun job to teaching four to five cubbies how to act like bears when their mothers are taken away from them during hunting season.
