It's still early, but Sony is talking about acquiring pic rights to a young adult trilogy of books and plans to develop the starring role for Jaden Smith.
No deal has been closed yet, but we guarantee if everything goes according to plan then Jaden's sister, Willow, will be doing tons of these AS WELL.
Jaden has previously starred in The Karate Kid series, The Pursuit of Happiness and is now filming After Earth with his father, Will Smith.
The first book of the planned trilogy is called Boy Nobody and is about a brainwashed teenage assassin who slowly begins to regain his feelings.
Here's what the author, Allen Zadoff, had to say about the book:
“The protag is a young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed."
Since Jaden Smith is in it, maybe they should change the title to Boy Somebody, ha!
