Olivia Wilde Was Labeled Too Old To Play Leonardo DiCaprio's Love Interest In The Wolf Of Wall Street! Hear Her Dish To Howard Stern!
This is the most insane thing we've heard all week!
The mother-of-one stopped by The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday to promote her new HBO show Vinyl and revealed that she was told she was "too sophisticated" to play the part that eventually went to Margot Robbie in The Wolf of Wall Street.
While that in itself seems okay, later in the interview Olivia shared that after her audition she learned that what they really meant was that she was too old!
She was only 28 when they were first started making that movie!!! And nearly a decade younger than Leonardo DiCaprio!
Thankfully, Martin Scorsese liked the now-32-year-old's acting skills enough to cast her on Vinyl without having to audition… but still, that's beyond ridiculous.
Ch-ch-check out Olivia's interview with Howard Stern to hear the scalding hot tea (below)!!!
Since hearing about the movie last summer, we not only started to make out own wish list of actors to play the scruffy looking nerf herder, but heard rumors that Disney had their eye on actors like Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, and Logan Lerman.
Now that a bit more time has passed, it seems the list has been narrowed down to three young studs — Alden Ehrenreich, Taron Egerton, and Jack Reynor!
Unlike some of the previously reported names, these men are a bit less known, so let's meet all the actors in the running to play the captain of the Millennium Falcon!
What a show!
