This is unimaginably tragic.
The team did release a statement on the matter, though (below):
Ah yeah! This is going to be so dope!
On Thursday at Comic-Con, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Zachary Quinto, and director (as well as Comic-Con virgin) Oliver Stone made an appearance in San Diego to promote their upcoming film Snowden!
The political thriller is about the life of Edward Snowden who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency to the press in June 2013.
Although the film is scheduled to be released on September 16, 2016, filmmakers released an exclusive Comic-Con trailer!
To see the awesomeness, ch-ch-check it out (above)!
The cast of Star Trek Beyond took flight at the film's premiere on the opening night of San Diego Comic-Con on Wednesday.
Before the screening began, producer J.J. Abrams gathered the rest of the cast — including Idris Elba, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Sofia Boutella, and John Cho — to the stage to pay respects to their late costar, who died in a freak accident last month.
Abrams asked the audience to participate in a moment of silence to pay tribute to the 27-year-old, saying:
We're not sure if we can handle this much man candy in one Star Trek movie!
Star Trek Beyond is hitting theaters this weekend, and Paramount is celebrating by announcing a fourth film in the rebooted Sci-Fi series!
On Monday, the studio announced that Star Trek 4 will feature a familiar face — and that face is the chiseled jawline of Chris Hemsworth!
The Thor actor will reprise his role as Captain Kirk's (Chris Pine) father George Kirk, who is described as "a man he never had a chance to meet, but whose legacy has haunted him since the day he was born."
Four days ahead of Star Trek Beyond's Wednesday premiere at Comic-Con, the studio revealed that the two Kirks will cross paths in the fourth installment of the space saga.
Since George sacrificed his life in the beginning of the 2009's Star Trek, it sounds like time travel will be involved in the Kirk family reunion…
Either way, adding a Hemsworth to any movie is always a smart move!

"As a member of the LGBT community myself, I was disappointed by the fact that George was disappointed… I get it. He has had his own personal journey and has his own personal relationship with this character but, you know, as we established in the first Star Trek film in 2009, we've created an alternate universe, and my hope is that eventually George can be strengthened by the enormously positive response from especially young people who are heartened by and inspired by this really tasteful and beautiful portrayal of something that I think is gaining acceptance and inclusion in our societies across the world, and should be."

This is so touching — and you can just see his pain.
Zachary Quinto went on The Late Show with host Stephen Colbert last night, and before they could go in on Star Trek and everything related to the film, they took a moment to remember the late Anton Yelchin.
Of course, Yelchin was killed in a freak accident last month, and Quinto memorialized him in a classy, well-spoken way (above).
Clearly, stars are struggling with Yelchin's sudden, unexpected death — as have fans from around the world.
Work them tools, RiRi!
Plus, who wouldn't love to see a giant Rihanna constellation up in the sky?!

Anton Yelchin has finally been laid to rest after his untimely passing.
As you surely know, Hollywood lost the Star Trek actor in a freak accident last week when his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled down his steep driveway in Studio City, CA and fatally pinned him to a front gate. He was 27-years-old.
Thankfully, Anton's friends and family have since been able to say their goodbyes to the late up and comer as it's said a private funeral was held at
