Looks like our nightmare has come true.
Not only has Sarah Jessica Parker has been named the Chief Creative Officer of Halston, she also got the title of president and given an equity stake in the company.
They must think she's really going to do great things for the company.
Now Miz Carrie Bradshaw is commenting on her new role, saying:
"I think this is a brand new kind of business model, and it illustrates how serious I am about this position. I think it’s wonderful to feel invested in something. I tend not to just endorse something. I like feeling the stakes."
Hmm, we just don't know what to think about this.
It seems like Halston is putting a lot of weight on the Sex and the City actress, but then again it could work. We don't want to draw any parallels between SJP and Lindsay Lohan, but maybe if there were a lot more at stake for Linds at Ungaro she would take her role over there more seriously.
Then again, Lindsanity has a lot less to lose than Sarah Jessica Parker.
And SJP is determined for others to see that she's serious about the job, explaining:
"I know I come to the company in a rather unorthodox way but I’m not the first to be president of a company without the traditional background. Others have been successful in those endeavors and I do so hope I can be as well.”
She makes a decent point.
Let's hope she lands herself on the list of those that have made it, rather than haven't.
What do U think of Sarah Jessica Parker's role at Halston's???
