Actress Joan Collins doesn’t believe in flaunting her wealth by wearing expensive jewelry out during the day.
But not because she's frugal, only because she doesn’t want to get mugged.
The 77-year-old Dynasty star was on The Talk when she revealed she likes to shop at department stores like Target.
“I like to wear things that aren't real during the day. I don't believe in going round with lots of jewellery because you never know someone could come and grab it. A friend of ours in England, one of the richest men in England I read in the papers today, John Caudwell, was just tied up and robbed because, you know, his wife goes around dripping with jewels. You can't do that.”
Turns out British billionaire John Caudwell was tied up, beaten and robbed in his mansion earlier this week.
As for her thoughts on cosmetic surgery, Joan reveals it’s not for her, adding:
“I'm a needle-phobic for one thing. I hate needles and don't like the idea of putting poison into my face and I've seen too many women who have had plastic surgery and facelifts and they look horrible.”
What do U think of fake jewelry?
