Louis Vuitton Celebrating The Festival Of Lights

Louis Vuitton is showing their cultural side this year by taking part in celebrating Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights.

Through the end of 2010, Louis Vuitton stores will be lit up with displays of traditional Hindu motifs.

According to LVMH, the decision to celebrate Diwali in its stores worldwide was partly to “honour the common values that Louis Vuitton shares with India, the respect for tradition and the passion for innovation.”

The company’s release adds that:

“In today’s world, where values of peace and harmony seem to lose importance, Louis Vuitton wishes to make a gesture by uniting all its stores around this Indian festival, which symbolises light, joy, optimism and new beginnings.”

LVMH even partnered up with Indian artist Rajeev Sethi to bring the holiday to life in their window displays.
