Rumors are swirling that Carine Roitfeld was actually fired or as the French would say "mise à pied" from her post at French Vogue.
Numerous sources say that Conde Nast was fed up with all the bad press the editor-in-chief was getting.
Earlier this year Carine was blacklisted from Balenciaga after she allegedly helped Max Mara knock off their designs before they were returned to the French fashion house.
But that wasn't the only label she pissed off.
LVMH's Bernard Arnault was none too pleased with the latest issue of Vogue Paris. Apparently their weren't enough LVMH credits and thought an editorial with young girls was in "poor taste". Arnault even threatened to pull all the luxury group's ads from the next issue.
Employees at French Vogue say they came to work on Friday with an email that said Roitfeld was "mise à pied", which basically means Conde Nast fired her.
