Furniture and home decor store IKEA is taking a step towards helping the environment.
The company will no longer sell incandescent light bulbs in all of its US and Canadian stores. Instead, they’ll be offering energy-efficient bulbs.
IKEA president Mike Ward reveals:
"Eliminating incandescents is just one simple way for IKEA customers to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gases.”
If you didn’t already know, compact fluorescent bulbs, or CFL, use up to 80% less energy and can last up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs.
Besides, most incandescent lights aren’t flattering anyway and not the best to apply your makeup under.
Here’s to a greener IKEA!
