Katy Perry Talks E.T. Makeup

It's not easy to look like an extraterrestrial, just ask Katy Perry!

The singer revealed she had to sit in makeup for "five and six hours" per look for her new music video E.T.

Katy told MTV:

"It was hard for me! It was really a patience thing for me on this video. But, you know, it's like when you're doing a film. Sometimes you have to do prosthetics, and you have to get really old or turn into an animal or a monster — and that's kind of what this process was."

Removing the makeup is a whole different story. Miz Perry said it took about 10 minutes to be a human again.
