She may have looked absolutely flawless on her wedding day, but Princess Charlene of Monaco had a few hiccups on her special day.
With stories of infidelity and paternity tests, rumors swirled that the Princess was a runaway bride. Many reports claimed she tried to flee several times before walking down the aisle with Prince Albert. But, of course, the Princess dismisses the reports, saying:
"It is a shame that those rumors came at such a bad time, but I think they were timed to sabotage such a happy occasion. They are categorical lies. I won’t dignify them with any response other than to say that the photographs of me and Albert in love and getting married will speak louder than any vicious gossip and empty rumors."
Friends say she's handling the vicious rumors head on and that she has nerves of steel, which makes sense because the woman is an athlete after all! Charlene adds:
"I was a competitive swimmer for fifteen years. Every morning I woke up and dived into a freezing cold pool; this challenge is no more daunting."
That's the spirit! Just ignore the pesky rumors and enjoy your new life with your Prince!
