She had a lot to choose from, but Heidi Klum was able to pick her 10 favorite outfits she's worn throughout the years.

The supermodel and Project Runway hostess says of her selections:

Logically, dressing for a red carpet event should be as simple as choosing a pretty frock off the rack and heading out the door… but, in an age of 'Who Wore It Best?' and 'Fashion Police' and 13 year-old fashion bloggers who supposedly control the pulse of fashion with one Tweet, it's anything but. I have walked quite a few red carpets over the past 18 years and have made it to the top of both the best, and worst, dressed lists.

Looking back over old photos, I don't regret any of the outfits I've worn…. because each of them is a great indicator of my personality… I am a woman who likes to take chances and surprise people with the unexpected. I am playful and I like to experiment… I love clothing and shoes and accessories… it is fun to dress up. Critics may not always agree with my choices but, ultimately, I dress to impress me.

So which ones made the cut?

My good friend Michal Kors was being honored by AMFAR for his very generous contributions towards the fight against HIV/AIDS and I was asked to present an award to him. He created this dress for me and I fell immediately in love with the color. He is a designer who truly knows how his customer likes to look and feel in her clothing and he designs with that in mind. I just adore him. I wore this Matthew Williamson suit for the finale of Project Runway. It was cut beautifully... very sleek and edgy yet the fuchsia made it a bit more playful.I wore this Givenchy jumpsuit to celebrate our 8th Season of Project Runway. It was a bit of a departure from my normal red-carpet attire but, as our show celebrates innovation and risk-taking, I wanted to be a bit edgier and fashion forward. Sometimes it is fun to shake things up. When I was asked to co-host the 2008 Emmy Awards, Giorgio Armani sent me a sketch of this gown and I knew I had to wear it. The beadwork was extraordinary and my good friend, Lorraine Schwartz, designed large jade butterfly earrings to complement the look... they were stunning.Designing a gown for a very pregnant woman is not an easy feat but Georgina Chapman, of Marchesa, more than delivered with this dress. It was so gorgeous- it had such intricate lace work and the silhouette flattered my obvious bump, rather than hiding it behind yards of fabric. For 9-months pregnant, I felt beautiful. This dress embodies, to me, what an Oscar red-carpet dress is all about. It is so dramatic and bold... and I loved the sweeping train. It was designed for me by John Galliano and I felt so lucky to wear it. It was a 'princess' moment.Mr. Cavalli has never met a sequin he did not like.... and, for that, he is one of my favorite designers. I love this dress, which I wore to Elton John's Oscar Party. I felt like a sexy disco ball. I was lucky enough to have Madame Tussaud's create a wax figure in my likeness and it is wearing this actual dress.I wore this Roland Mouret dress to accept a Peabody Award for Project Runway. As it is a prestigious event, I wanted to wear a dress that was classic and elegant. I also love the retro look of the styling... very 'Mad Men'-esque. I wore this Ungaro dress to the Victoria's Secret fashion show as it was perfect for the event- it was sexy, sparkly and uber-short. The long hair, the makeup... I felt like a Barbie doll... so much so, that when Mattel later designed a Heidi Klum Barbie, my doll's dress was inspired by this one.I wore this dress, designed by J. Mendel, to the CFDA Awards. I was newly pregnant at the time and the tiers conveniently masked my baby bump. I loved the champagne color against my tan skin. The chandelier earrings by Lorraine Schwartz were unbelievable and perfectly complimented Gilles' gorgeous dress.
