Apparently the Olsen twins did.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are laughing all the way to the bank.
The pricey alligator backpack was the first item to sell from their new nine-piece handbag collection.
But despite tough economic times, Ash is a true believer that luxury items still sell well. She revealed during a cocktail party during Paris Fashion Week:
"It was the first thing that sold off the shelf. During our last economic crisis in the U.S., the only thing that went up was Hermes."
