A former model who killed, cooked and ate her husband was once again denied parole on Wednesday.
During the 5 hour hearing, Omaima Aree Nelson told the parole board she is a changed woman and not the monster prosecutors made her out to be.
"If I didn't defend my life, I would have been dead. I'm sorry it happened, but I'm glad I lived. I'm sorry I dismembered him"
A psychiatrist testified 20 year ago Nelson said after killing him "she put on red shoes, a red hat and red lipstick before chopping up and cooking her husband's body".
On Wednesday she denied eating him, but when she was asked what was the purpose of cooking him, Nelson declined to answer.
The parole board ultimately denied her parole because Omaima is considered to be a risk to society and will continue serving her 27 year to life sentence at the Central California Women's Facility.
