Looks like reality television is good for the economy!
Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and H&M are all rolling in some extra dough thanks to Fashion Star.
Following Tuesday night's premiere, each retailer saw an increase in sales on the designs they bid on, which became available online Tuesday night and in stores on Wednesday.
For example, Saks.com was all out of Orly Shani's $350 convertible zipper miniskirt by 9:30am on Wednesday.
H&M had some items selling out on their website too! Sarah Parrott's $19.95 minidress and Nzimiro Oputa's $49.95 men's blazers both sold out only 20 minutes after the premiere ended. Not only that, but the entire back stock was finished in 101 stores on Wednesdays.
As for Macy's, they were mostly sold out by press time. So don't be surprised if U see a lot of people donning Lizzie Parker's $79 jersey tunic, Edmond Newton's $110 cocktail dress, or Nikki Poulos' $89 kimono-sleeve caftan.
Were U one of the shoppers that helped 'em sell out??
