Vanity Fair is a lying liar who lies according to Playboy head honcho Hugh Hefner.

In their June issue, VF published what they say are "lost nudes" of Marilyn Monroe taken by Lawrence Schiller days before she died. Schiller even said Norma Jeane left him a note on one of the photos that read "send this to Playboy, they might like it."

And they did, which is why the gentleman's mag ran the photos in 1964 and again in 2005.

Hef even tweeted earlier this week:

"We published the last nudes of Marilyn Monroe at her request, following her death, in our January, 1964, Tenth Anniversary Issue."

So far Vanity Fair hasn't made a correction, but their website does say some shots were "unseen till now".

Either way it's still misleading.

Thoughts???
