Almost 20 years after hanging up her skates, Kristi Yamaguchi is double axeling into the fashion biz and launching a line of "fashion activewear" this fall.
The figure skater has dubbed the 18 piece collection, Tsuya, which is both her middle name and Japanese for 'shiny', and includes yoga pants, capris, camis, tanks, T-shirts and jackets
Yamaguchi said of her first foray into fashion:
"I wanted it to be on-trend rather than typical activewear that’s pretty basic. I think that with my own lifestyle of being an active woman and a busy mom, I wanted to create something that is fun and fashionable but also functional."
Not only is Kristi's collection functional, but also affordable! Tsuya is priced between $40 to $150 and a portion of the sales will benefit her charity, Always Dream Foundation, which focuses on early childhood literacy.
We're can't wait to see Kristi's design when they debut at Lord & Taylor during Fashion's Night Out!
