Much Ado About Jeremy Scott's Adidas Shoes

Jeremy Scott's newest creation for Adidas Originals has sparked quite the controversy.
Last week the sporty brand posted a picture of the Roundhouse Mids, which features a plastic chain and ankle cuff, on their Facebook with the caption "Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?" and that's when the comparisons to slavery began.
So what does Jeremy have to say about all this?
He tells CoCoPerez.com:
"MY WORK HAS ALWAYS BEEN INSPIRED BY CARTOONS, TOYS & MY CHILDHOOD…"
In the case of the Roundhouse Mid, the designer was inspired by the 1980s cartoon My Pet Monster (below).
And there you have it folks! Nothing to see here. Move along!
