Adidas Puts The Kibosh On Jeremy Scott's Pet Monster Kicks

If you had your heart set on buying Jeremy Scott's My Pet Monster-inspired sneakers it's not going to happen.
Adidas decided earlier this week to cancel the release of the shoes after all the slavery comparisons.
Adidas said in a statement:
"The design of the JS Roundhouse Mid is nothing more than the designer Jeremy Scott's outrageous and unique take on fashion and has nothing to do with slavery. We apologize if people are offended by the design and we are withdrawing our plans to make them available in the marketplace."
It's probably for the best.
Thoughts???

I think people read too much into it. There is slavery worldwide, and has been throughout history, so why was it that mostly African American people had problems with it? It's not like they would be the only race wearing it.
