And they can't do anything about it!
The Supreme Court ruled against the Federal Communications Commission on Thursday for trying to regulate Nicole Richie's potty mouth.
Let us jog your memory.
Back in 2003, Nicole and then BFF Paris Hilton presented the Billboard Music Award for Mainstream Top 40 Track when the Simple Life star said:
"Have you ever tried to get cow shit out of a Prada purse? It’s not so fucking simple."
Obviously, the FCC found Nicole's comment obscene and fined Fox over the incident.
Now, almost a decade later, the justices unanimously decided the network "could not have known in advance that obscenities uttered during the broadcast could give rise to sanctions".
Long story short: the fines were thrown out and we still don't know how difficult it is to get manure out of an expensive bag.
