Nordstrom Is Finally Coming To New York City!

New Yorkers no longer have to wait for a Nordstrom store! Well, kind of.
The department store announced on Thursday, after 10 long years of searching for the perfect location, their plans to open the first flagship store in the Big Apple.
Nordstrom will take over the 285,000 square-foot first floor space of the not-yet-existent superstructure at 225 West 57th Street near Columbus Circle.
However, this isn't the store's official first run in the big apple. The retailer has a Nordstrom Rack at Union Square and a charity concept store, Treasure & Bond in Soho that Anna Wintour can take praise for.
Now for the bad news, Nordstrom isn't expected to open until 2018. Plus, certain brands may not be available for purchase because they have connections with other NYC department stores already.
What a bummer!
But don't get your undies in a bunch, the fashion retailer still has a lot of time to figure things out, so not all is lost.
Let's just focus on the fact that a store is being built!
