Fake it ’til you make it?!?
People in Britain found a way to get some Christian Louboutins on the low low, only they're not real.
The Brits are actually painting the soles of their shoes with red paint to get the look of the high-profile designer's shoes.
How skid row.
A home improvement store in Britain reported that their sales of red shades, "Flame," "Showstopper," and "Desperate Try-Hard Whore" soared 40 percent in purchases since last year thanks to the cheap DIY-ers.
One fashion faker said:
"I bought a $30 pair of plain black shoes and a tester pot and recreated the designer look at home. I carefully painted the soles, let them dry overnight, and by the next day they were ready to wear."
Of course, this isn't exactly brand new information.
Last year, UK company SaveYourSole, introduced their own paint to "fix" the designer shoes while a 16 year old from Ireland started offering red stickers to slap on the bottom of your heels.
We suggest saving up until you can get real Louboutins because they are so much more fun and authentic!
