It was just a matter of time until NBA jerseys became ad-infused.
On Thursday, the NBA Board of Governors had a meeting in Las Vegas to talk about their plan to attach small advertising patches to the NBA jerseys for the 2013-2014 season.
Deputy commissioner Adam Silver was all for the gimmick because of the $100 million in additional revenue that the adverts could possibly bring in.
After all, the NBA lost over $300 million during the 2011-2012 lockout, so finding a way to make the monies back was probably top priority.
The ads may be an eye-sore, but it's not like we need to pay much attention to the marketing woes when there's seksi sweaty players running up and down the court, right?
