Isaac Mizrahi is the latest designer to jump on the fragrance train!
Le Miz will be releasing his first fragrance, Fabulous, which is the beginning of a 34 product licensing deal with The Cloudbreak Group.
The Fashion Show producer compared his fragrance to marriage in explaining why he’s taken so long to launch one:
“I feel like if you get married too young, it rarely works out. It’s the same thing with this — you get really very few chances at [creating a scent.] You have to get it right. There has to be care taken. That’s what all these years of experience have brought to this. I really want it to mean something and be special. Good perfumes are more cultural than product.”
According to the designer, Fabulous will smell like his mother, who frequently wore tuberose and bergamot, with some jasmine and peony thrown in.
The scent will be launched on September 6 through QVC in conjunction with their Fashion’s Night Out programs, and one million samples will be given in QVC customers’ orders as a bonus!
A month later, you’ll find Fabulous in select Bloomingdale’s, specialty and department stores. It will be available in a 1.7 oz bottle for $65 or a 3.4 oz bottle for $78.
You can also meet Mizrahi on October 18 at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street store when the fragrance is released!
Photographer of the moment, Terry Richardson, will be shooting the ads which will appear in the September and October issues of beauty and lifestyle mags.
From the looks of the pretty pink bottle, this perfume is going to be AH-MAY-ZING! We can’t wait to get a whiff!
