Ooooh! Fashion and Diana Vreeland all wrapped up in one documentary!
Diane von Furstenberg, Manolo Blahnik and Calvin Klein all talk about the legendary Vogue editor in the documentary directed by Lisa Immordino Vreeland, The Eye Has To Travel, and we are blown away by her history.
Lisa went through a lot of material and research to create a book to honor her grandmother-in-law, who acted as fashion editor at Harper's Bazaar 25 years before taking over as editor-in-chief at Vogue in 1962, but since a book wouldn't capture her life as well as a film would, she opted in for a documentary.
However, the film's highlights are not the great moments of her career, or the celebration of how stylish Diana was, instead, her struggles, determination and personal experiences are what makes the flick a monumental chronicle.
DVF states that Diana was not a fashion editor, she was THE one and only fashion editor.
Now that just sounds like a boss status!
The film is due to debut at Venice International Film Festival and in El Lay and NY on September 21, but for now, watch the official trailer (above)!
