Michelle Dockery Is The Lady Of The Moment For Harper's Bazaar

Lady Mary indeed!
We love September issues because, while every issue has some gorgeous pics, magazines really up the ante with this one, as Harper’s Bazaar did by giving actress Michelle Dockery a spread!
The Downton Abbey actress was shot at in the Hampshire countryside at a hotel restaurant, which was close to Highclere Castle, where they film the show. Dockery was shot by Benjamin A. Huseby who captures her in a stern, yet sensitive light.
In the article, the actress talks about her character and style, in a voice very different from Lady Mary's. These are some HIGHlights:
On a modern Mary’s style:
“Armani. Simple, clean.”
On her personal style:
“Very French, understated. That’s the kind of style I go for.”
On the show inspiring designers, like Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2012 show:
“It’s amazing, really, how it has affected fashion.”
On her last tan:
“In 2006! I had to be darker-skinned for a part and really went to town.”
On corsets:
“Once you’re in costume, you can’t really exercise in a corset. I wore a lingerie one to a fancy-dress party years ago. I have photos somewhere that I think I will destroy.”
There’s so much to love about this spread, but particularly that the pics are a good mix between the character, Lady Mary, and Michelle Dockery, the woman.
